Fox Den Golf Course — Local services in Stow

Great Sunday round. Grass Range. Apple Pay compatible. I have seen people complaining about the pace of play… I cannot understand why. Place was absolutely packed starter did an amazing job pairing people, getting me into a group as a single. We played in 4hrs 20 mins total including the stop at the turn. if that’s too slow for you on a beautiful Sunday, don’t come out! Course was in great condition, I like how they used the natural lay of the land to create some really cool elevation changes and shot diversity. Reminds me a lot of Fowlers Mill actually where I used to be a member years back. I used every club in my bag today. The star of the show is their greens (and their hotdogs) for how dry it has been lately there are a few courses I have played where the greens are unreceptive and are not holding anything. These greens were absolutely perfect very receptive and you can really spin some shots greenside they also putted fast and true. Being from Miami Florida I like my greens fast. The course was in good shape for the rain we got. Condition was not the problem. Also the breakfast sandwich was second to none. HOWEVER, the starter Sam must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed because he was confrontational from the moment I got there. I was a little bit late as my babysitter was a little bit late. When I showed up my brother had already paid for me and was on the tee waiting, Sam didn’t even have the carts wiped off I had to wipe it off myself and when I asked him if he could wipe off the cart he said I should have been there 20 minutes ago. Mind you we tee’d off at 7 am so the babysitter was again late. He rushed us to wait we caught the group in front of us on the 3rd hole and waited the rest of the nine. At the turn we ordered sandwiches he again was rushing us to get to 10 when there were people still teeing on gf actually not the group in front of us but the group in front of them teeing off so we had to wait for two groups. Playing fox den was actually the worst experience I’ve personally ever had playing golf. My group was hit into about 4 times, 3 of the 4 we were almost hit my someone else’s golf ball. We were also almost hit by other golfers hitting onto the wrong hole. As well, this course is extremely disorganized. We were scheduled at 12:58 pm, ended up teeing off at 1:25 because 2 groups were placed ahead of us that were going to go “faster” as we were a group of 3 and the other groups were twosomes. I will tell you confidently we did not get to play our scheduled 18 because leagues started when our 10th hole tee time was scheduled. We were told by the starters that we would get a refund at the desk. They did not, they offered us a rain check. In all my group wasted 4 and a half hours of our day and did not get to play more than 9 holes. Please please please do not spend your money here as they obviously don’t care about customers.
