Bingham falls is one of those short hikes which you shouldnât miss if given the opportunity. The starting point of this fall starts from the parking lot which can be a little tricky. Let me explain.
When you turn on the navigation for Bingham falls, it will end in the middle of road where you will see a bunch of cars parked on either side of the road. This is the parking lot for the fall. You havenât reached yet. Once you park, youâd be baffled with the lack of any sign or an entrance. Behind the parking lot, you can see in the woods a sign which would lead you to the falls.
The fall itself is a few minutes away. The trail is steep down hill with slippery rocks and slopes. Iâd recommend wearing a proper set of hiking boots for this trail. It isnât difficult so anyone could easily do this and watch the spectacular falls at the end of the trail.
The parking area is limited but is available on either side of the road. Iâd avoid this if thereâs rain pouring down since itâd make it more challenging to get a good grip going down the trail. The trail is decently maintained and there are sign boards to lead the way.
A good trail overall and a must visit place if youâre...
Read moreVermonts mountainside is very gorgeous! Though I cannot comment too much about the waterfall as I never go to actually see it. I think the âshortâ they advertise is very false and it is quite dangerous. I was here back on August 14, 2021 to be exact with my family thank goodness! Unfortunately for me, about a half mile or less down I stumbled my foot on a rock or tree root. Down I went and crack went my ankle as well. Bystanders heard my ankle snap and my mom who was behind me said she also heard it. Thank goodness for kind hearted people who stopped to help us back up this slippery (it rained that day apparently) mountain. 6 people had to take turns carrying my 19 year old self at the time back up and Iâm not light and tiny either. I thought we would never make it back up as I was in so much pain. The nearest doctor or Hospital was 45 minutes away. I ended up in the ER with 3 broken bones in my ankle and a displacement. I had to have surgery later in the week back home as I live in Virginia. So word of advice: USE CAUTION HERE PLEASE!! It isnât a simple easy hike. I am back to walking now as months have passed, but that was my 1st break and VT took...
Read moreBingham Falls is truly one of the hidden gems of Vermont, offering a breathtaking natural spot thatâs worth the visit. The waterfall itself is not massive, but its charm lies in its picturesque setting â a powerful rush of water carving its way through rock into a serene pool below. The water is crystal clear and refreshingly cold, making it an inviting place for a swim if youâre feeling adventurous.
We were especially struck by the beauty of the surrounding area. Moss-covered rocks, towering trees, and the peaceful sound of the falls create an atmosphere that feels both wild and calming. We spent time just sitting by the water, watching swimmers and taking in the sounds of nature. Itâs a place where you can slow down and really appreciate the outdoors.
If you plan to visit, bring a swimsuit, a towel, and maybe even water shoes if you want to enjoy the pool fully. Even if you donât swim, just being near the falls is a rewarding experience. This spot left us with fantastic memories, and weâd recommend it to anyone passing...
