Farmer's Basket — Local services in Stroud Township

Disappointed in the service here. Had visited this location for the first time roughly 2 weeks ago. While checking out what minimal vegetables they had a lady was checking out at the outside register. She had a large box with 4 gallons of milk in it and a few other items. Anyhow the lady was elderly and struggling to carry the box. I immediately asked to help her carry it to her car which she graciously accepted. The guy behind the counter didn’t budge, or even offer to assist her. As I walked her out to the car I said I couldn’t believe he didn’t offer to help you to your car. She said they never do she always struggles but it’s where she can get what she needs so she always goes back. Returning customer? And you treat her this way? SMH! 🤦‍♂️ that’s horrible horrible customer service how can you just stand there and watch an elderly lady struggle to carry that? You should be ashamed…I know my Mother raised me better than that in just general courtesy. As a result you instantly lost my business we left immediately after I loaded her car. We went to another market Pocono Farm Stand & Nursery in Tannersville instead and had a far better experience and selection of vegetables that weren’t tiny, wrinkly and overpriced. I have a permanent camping space at a local campground we are close knit and always looking for great places to find fresh produce, plants etc. there’s over 250 permanent sites and over 200 additional who visit over the weekends. You will not be recommended as local business. It’s crazy how one act of kindness could have resulted in a better review and more business....

Absolutely love The Farmer’s Basket. They are open from early spring to end of summer with plants, pots, bushes, trees (I buy all of mine here). They are open in the fall for mums. And they are open at the end of the year with Christmas trees, wreaths, centerpieces, etc. They also have produce and fresh eggs. Everyone is always incredibly helpful, patient, and friendly. We got our Christmas tree here for the second year in a row (our second Christmas in the area) and Alex helped us with everything. He was never suffocating or pressuring and gave us space. He answered all our questions and helped us with carrying the tree. This will be a regular stop for us for as long as...

Always love this place. The produce is great. The staff is very knowledgeable and can help with almost any question regarding produce/flowers/plants etc.... I get a Christmas tree from them every year. Their prices are very reasonable, and the trees always look beautiful! Last year everyone thought I had a fake tree because they said it was shaped too perfectly 😅 I went in to pay for the tree, and when I came outside to look for the young man who was helping me, I saw that he had already tied it to my car for me and it was ready to go.
