I’m a Daily Support Professional who takes two adult individuals with disabilities out into the community so they can enjoy and go to the places we all do safely. We decided to go the Stuarts Draft Antique Mall and had a very unwelcoming experience. We were greeted by a nice young women and all seemed well until a curly haired woman with child scissors in her hand lol proceeded to follow us around the whole store making me and my individuals uncomfortable. When I attempted to look at the associate she would always immediately look away and keep a little distance. I don’t understand how we would’ve looked suspicious but if we did or if it was because my purse was to big then I wish they would’ve said something and I could’ve left it in the car. (I also carry a backpack with medical/emergency supplies for my individuals as I need to be prepared for situations as a DSP) I could understand how the bags might be a problem I just wish they would have communicated that to me at the start to avoid this situation. If you should be going to 81 South drop by and the pick up 81 South again in Greenville. Nice ride through the country and usually saves some time from congestion at the interstate exchange.
