Today I bought my first bow. A Bear Legit. 3/23/21.
I have to say as a salesman in automotive repair, I admire the two men at the desk today. Never in my life have I ever had such an overwhelmingly positive business transaction.
I walked in, willing to take advise from the pros. I did a medium amount of research on compound bows before coming in and had 2 bows I was interested in.
The young man with the beard (I regret not getting his name, but I will definitely be back regularly so I will figure it out sooner than later.) approached me and was very polite and asked me all the right questions. I was intimidated but excited at first. We discussed my budget, goals and he patiently answered all of my questions. He clearly and professionally gave me pros and cons and really guided me and helped me make the decision that was best for me. I never felt pressured and I could definitely trust him. He let me try a multitude of different bows, releases, respected my choices and more.
I took my bow home and on shot #6, I accidentally forgot to knock an arrow. Rookie mistake. He and his colleague made sure I was taken care of and gave me a mulligan. They didn’t even charge me for the inspection and repair of the bow. They made my rookie mistake a pleasant experience!
I will absolutely be back. These men need the highest of praise.
They are the pro shop. They can do what your sports stores can’t. They are humble and have the heart of teachers.
They will always have my...
Read moreapparently, from others I know, they gave me a good price on my bow to restring it. whatever that means. It took a little while to get helped, about 5 minutes of me standing in line. I was helped and told to come pick up the bow after the weekend, which i did and it was ready for me. What really lets them earn the 5 star is the professional customer service shown when i returned with my broken bow 2 weeks later, the same one they restrung. The string was not properly attached to the front screw (new to archery, no idea what that is called) and the entire string basically fell off... The men who fixed my bow understood that this mistake was their own and fixed the bow for free and had it ready for me after the weekend. It's one thing to make a mistake, it's another to fix the mistake. I've bought a trigger release, arm guard, arrows and restrung the bow. Definitely continuing my business at this...
Read moreI drove a little over two hours one way to have Complete Hunter’s Outlet replace the strings on my crossbow. I had called the week before and was told that since I lived so far away they would give me an appointment to bring my bow in. Additionally they said it would only take an hour so I could wait for it. Boy, was I glad I made the trip. It was a nice day for a ride but what blew me away was the awesome customer service I received. And yes, the bow was finished within an hour. Sadly I did not get any names , other than the dog’s which was a boxer named Capone. Everything was explained throughly to me and the young woman who worked on the bow provided some helpful advice and some extra e-clips. Lastly, I felt that what I was charged was far more than reasonable for the work provided. I will be making...
