Bud is the man. We had a leather armchair from the 1970’s that we wanted to restore back to its former glory. It was kind of a sentimental piece of my parent’s living room, and as a result, my dad had been reluctant to let us take it somewhere for years.
I called around to a few places in town after sending him pictures, Bud was able give us a very fair quote and timeline for the job.
When I arrived at his shop I immediately knew this guy knew his stuff. He’s been doing this kind of work for decades and as a one man show, I could tell he would guarantee an attention to detail and quality of work. I chose a vinyl that matched the leather color and had a nice soft smooth texture. I then asked if he could shine up some of the metal frame and add some batting to the cushions. He said he does that on every job for no extra cost. I was impressed.
He gave me the quote and asked when I would need it to be finished. It was mid October and I wanted it done by mid November because that was my dad’s birthday. He texted me last Friday with photos and said it was done. I posted the before and after here for reference.

I've upholstered a few items myself in the past--but never again. I'm taking...
Read moreI submitted 6 cushions that were exactly the same to get restuffed. 3 came out great and the other 3 looked like they weren't redone. He told me they would be done in 1 day and it took 5 days. I had to call them about my items to see when they would be completed. They smelled like cigarette smoke and were covered in dust. One cushion still had chalk writing on it. I definitely would not...
