Dollar General — Local services in Sulphur Springs

I visited the store at around 8:00 Sunday evening. The employee was literally sitting in one of the chairs (that were for sale) talking on his cell phone. I spent a total of 15-20 minutes in the store in which he was constantly on his cell phone. I watched two costumers plus myself that used the self check out because this employee was too busy on his cell phone to notice that they were ready to check out. I went out to my vehicle and placed the items purchased in my car. I continued in my car to watch this employee talking on his personal cell phone. I walked back into the store and had a discussion with the employee about being on the cell phone for the entire time in which I was at the store. I asked Felix if this was a business call and he identified that it was not. I stated the facts as I witnessed it and he had the nerve to tell me that he felt personally attacked. He stated I did not know him, that the person on the other line was very important to him and that he walks from Noel every day. None of this which is related to work. I advised him that it makes somebody like me not want to come to this store. Management, I think you need to reevaluate your employee. Watch the camera’s that you have in the store. You have made a bad choice hiring this employee! I, who frequents the store several times a week (spending anywhere from $80. to $100 dollars a week) will no longer be stopping at this store. Extremely unsatisfied customer! My suggestion…do not shop here. Drive the extra 4 miles to Gravette...

I used to work at this store, loved the job loved my coworkers besides the new “manger” and everyone in sulphur knows who I’m talking about. She’s not fit to be a manager since she’s been in the store it’s went down hill, she doesn’t work she holds down the office chair while her employees bust there butts. I had a miscarriage so obviously called in I had dr notes and etc to turn in and she still fired me lol but couldn’t tell me personally made my coworkers tell me! I’m considering taking it to corporate though! Just wanted to post and say don’t waste your time you might as well go to Noel or even gravette. And if you’re thinking about working here I wouldn’t, it’s not worth $12 an hour to do all the work in the store cause on truck days you bet she puts herself off or just doesn’t come in without even texting or calling you to let you know that she won’t be there, so you’re left to do truck alone. Terrible customer service. While in the Sulphur Springs, AR store, I waited at the self check out register for over 5 minutes. I had double scanned one of my items and pushed the button for assistance. I could clearly see the store employees talking in the back of the store. Waving my arms failed to catch their attention. Store employees then just walking by, glancing towards me, and then leaving the area. A vendor in the store Finally went to find somebody to help me. When employee finally came to front and I told her what had happened she said"oh, if I had known this was all you needed I wouldn't have made you wait so long".
