I have been a very loyal customer of Tire Max in Summerfield since it opened. It is very convenient to my house. In the past, they had always been efficient and communicative. But the last few times I have been in, the level of customer service has diminished. I have had a problem with my AC. My car has been in their shop THREE times this summer alone for the same issue. After leaving my car there for 1.5 days last time and spending over $600, I was assured that my AC was fixed. A month later, it is out again. I called yesterday and was told if I dropped it off that evening it would be the first car in this morning. I told them I needed my car back no later than 10am and I even wrote that on the envelope for the key drop off. I was assured that would not be a problem. At 10:15am this morning, I still had not heard from them. I called Tire Max and was told that there was a leak but they couldn’t find it. My concern is why wasn’t this leak found the last 3 times that my car was in for this same problem? Why did no one call me at 10am and tell me they were sorry they were having difficulties and would it be okay if they kept the car longer? I told them I had to come pick my car up at 10:45 am. Both men that are normally at the front desk went to the back when I arrived leaving a new young lady there to hand me my keys. No one told me if they ultimately found the leak. No one offered to have me come back another time. When I arrived at my destination, I found a rag hanging out of my hood that had been left by the serviceman. A potential fire hazard? I am really upset that the quality of service has decreased so much at this location as it is very convenient to my home. But like most people, my time is valuable, and I cannot work with a company that cannot communicate with me and who charges an exorbitant fee without fixing the problem. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Tire Max Summerfield to take care of your car needs.
In response to the owner's response....actually, Brian did NOT reach out to us. My husband called Tire Max and spoke with Brian to express his concerns at which time Brian offered to check the car again. Mind you, this was the fourth time my car had been there for the SAME problem. I think after that much time, I need to take it to someone who has more expertise. Unfortunately, this will be an added expense to the over $600 I have already spent...

I brought in a newly purchased dodge challenger and told them I would like it looked over top to bottom and everything it needed. Do it. This included new tires, brakes all around, rotary, a hub assembly, oil change, probably some other stuff I'm forgetting, in the end it cost me almost $4000 which when comparing to other smaller shops in the area was on the extreme high side (but again, I'm thinking quality work and convenience). I get my car back the first time, and about a day goes by I hear the brakes screaming (note, the old brakes didn't even screech) so I take it back, it takes almost an entire day but they say they installed a bad part, they fixed it, come get it. I get it back, another couple days pass, I think I still hear it screeching, but honestly, I don't drive it that much, and I think I'm hearing other cars until I stop in at the bank and the screeching bounces off the building like I'm a bus pulling into grand central Station. I return once more to get it checked out. This time, to my surprise, they say the calipers(sp?) are bad, and I need to spend another $800 to fix it. I, having a hard time believing they missed this problem the first two times take the car down the road to M & M tire where they take a look and say nothing is wrong except that tiremax put bad brakes on. Since M&M put new brakes on it, the car has not screeched once. I drove back to tire max and asked for a refund for the shoddy brake work, where they did in fact say they would, but we are going in almost 3 weeks at this point and I haven't heard anything so I'm moving on from this.
Final thoughts: The people in the front were always nice. They always seemed understaffed as far as mechanical go. They seemed to do fine regarding most of the other work; but being asked to pay an additional $800 after $4000 of work just hits wrong, and as such, I can not recommend them.
Original Review: This place is busy, do not expect a fast turn around for most things, this however is not a negative, they take care of their customers and get...
Read moreReally disappointed after getting service here. I primarily wanted to get my tires balanced since I was getting a little sporadic vibration and they handled that well. Since I was due for an oil change, I elected that service as well. Shortly after returning home, I noticed quite a bit of fluid on the ground of my garage.
My Jeep has less than 70k miles and has never leaked, garage floor has always been free of vehicular fluids. I typically do the work on my Jeep unless I need the assistance of a shop's tools, in this case the tire balancing.
I notified the shop and they checked it out the next day, informing me that my oil cooler is leaking and suggested replacing it. Now I understand that Jeep Wrangler oil coolers are prone to failing/leaking according to several online forums, however, it was not leaking before I brought it in and even if it was (which it wasn't), the oil bolt is just in front of the area that was saturated with fluid, all under the transmission and frame. It would have been hard to not notice fluid gathering on the undercarriage.
Additionally, I am fairly certain they over-filled my oil significantly as there was a distinct difference in cleanliness surrounding the oil input in the shape of an overflow.
Needless to say, I will not be bringing our vehicles back to this shop for any service.
Edit: After speaking with a couple other shops, having a diagnostic done, and eventually having the oil cooler housing replaced with the Dorman aluminum product, I’m confident this shop broke/cracked my original (OEM) oil cooler housing. I assume by applying too much force when removing or installing the oil filter. I understand these things happen and most-likely unintentionally, but to then expect me to pay full-price on the resolution to a problem your business caused, I find that...
