This is a really good flea market. It's been around a long time, and in my opinion keeps getting better. It's amazing the variety of things being sold. Most of the prices are very good, and if you don't like the price-- you're free to walk away. If you go consistently, there's few things that can't be found there in good condition for a good price. A short list of things I've seen for sale there in the last year are very nice living room suites, as well as many other furniture peices and sets, and area rugs. Any kind of cookware, dishes, small or large appliances, any other kitchen items you can think of. Riding lawnmowers, push mowers, garden equipment, weed eaters, power tools, hand tools of every kind, and chain saws. Pigs, goats, chickens, rabbits, kittens, and puppies. Clothes, purses, shoes, socks, hats. Decorations of many kinds for every holiday, wonderful produce grown right here in beautiful Chattooga County, antiques of all kinds, and the best boiled peanuts I've ever had. Books, jewelry, shelves, and outdoor furniture. You can find new things still in the box, and old things that were in your Grandparent's house. If you're looking for a particular item, the best advice is to go consistently, go on Tuesdays, and go as early as you can. If it's not there on Tuesday, it will be before long. My Grandad occasionally sold a few things there when I was a kid, over 40 years ago. I really enjoy this place. It's an atmosphere that's hard to replicate, even at other flea markets, and the people...
Read moreI sell costume jewelry and haven't been to the "Summerville Flea Market" in years and found that it had a new name and somewhat new location so I was glad I used my GPS. In terms of Management, you couldn't ask for anything better; the staff went out of their way to make sure you found a space and answered any questions. The market is basically an out-of-doors selling space but they do have limited covered spaces. (Note: this market has no tables or places to display your items so bring enough tables; I brought two and wound up displaying items on the ground which worked fine). The crowds were consistent and eager to purchase; most lookers bought something. This is a Tuesday and Saturday flea market and I visited on Tuesday; noticed many of the shoppers were above 65 years-old. This is the age group I aim for and sales were great for my items. Plan to return and try this out on a Saturday.
I highly recommend this as a potential spot for Vendors. And, as a shopper (I took a quick trip around the market) it seemed that you could find most a little of everything; I wound up spending at least a third of what I made but the deals were just too...
Read moreIt's alright, but nothing fancy, what gets me in a puzzle are the prices, that is too expensive for a trade day or a flea markets, so if I go to Walmart I could get the same type of items, new for the same or a couple of dollars more , and sometimes even cheaper, if you are looking for the good ole days bargain type thing, it no longer exists, especially in those trade days, I mean go out there enjoy the drive and the views but if you're expecting a bargain, your out of luck buddy, some of those ppl actually think they should charge the same as the department stores, they even tell you " the such and such is this much at so and so place" but who cares about that, we come to trade day to get a great deal, otherwise, we will just go to those other places and get things, anyway good to browse and exercise, other than that, better check prices on Amazon before...
