I have not been in the town of Susquehanna in over 50 years. I made friends with an individual that resided there. Who has since pasted on, we met while both attending a trade school during the early 1970's. I had a few fun weekends with his friends and family there. This town is a quaint place, I'm guessing it was like so many towns in north eastern Pennsylvania. A coal mining town that thrived during the day's when coal was king. The Little Ireland Brewing Co. came up while looking for a restaurant to get something to eat and a beverage. This is a great little place for just such a stop. Prices are reasonable and it's an on-site micro brewery. So if your looking for a quaint restaurant bar, with a caffee layout, highly recommend you check it out. Also this town has a beautiful railroad train station that is serious need of being restored, and put to use. Jim Thorpe is a perfect example of what to do with a train station and town...
Read moreI am not a regular but have visited before. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar. I had 1 beer, 1/2 dozen wings and a calzone to go. Wings were good. The help, on the other hand, was disappointing.

I tried to help and move it out of their way. It tipped over easily. I apologized and went to pick it up. She did it for me, then remarked directly to the other patron placing an order, "He's a disaster." She was referring to me and she was not kidding.
I don't recall doing anything else that made me worthy of the insult. I finished, paid, and left. The food is good. I may be back for take out. If I dine in again, it will be on a Sunday, when the staff is known to be friendlier and...
Read moreI am forever grateful to the good folk of Susquehanna and the owners of Little Ireland Brewing. In August 2024, while on day 4 of a bicycle trip from NYC to Niagara Falls, I fell behind schedule. It was getting dark and started storming and there was no way I would safely reach my destination for the night. I stopped in Susquehanna at the brewery for a late dinner and hoped someone could help me. Locals dining at the brewery offered to give me a lift. Ultimately, the owner drove me and my bike to the motel in the next town over without asking for anything in return. It was a selfless act that really helped me out. Thank you so much Jared! I wish you and your family continued success...
