I will never be back. They were incredibly rude. I asked the owner if they carried any native plants, to which he jumped down my throat by going on a long tirade about how there was no such thing as native plants (not correct)then informed me that bc all the plants were grown in Massachusetts they are all native (also deeply not true) and that he was a “farmer for 40 years” and had never heard of such a thing- he spoke to me as if I’d just asked if I could cut his left arm off or something, then proceeded to sick his daughters on me- one telling me that I “better leave” bc she was very upset and again, incorrectly informing me that native isn’t a classification, then backpedaling and telling me that anything locally grown is native (again, not true, not even remotely)- followed up by her telling me that she was highly offended (I literally asked a simple question) bc this was her dad’s dream, etc. (which is great, but didn’t explain why a simple, concise and polite “no we do not have any native varieties of plants” would not have sufficed.) Some other woman again attempted to tell me that she was 60 years old and has never heard of the concept of native plants so therefore it doesn’t exist… I was astounded and amazed at the aggressive, rude, threatening, not to mention incompetent response I received from these folks. Additionally I noticed that while they do carry some local items, the majority of the groceries are shipped in from large purveyors- the local items they had can be purchased directly from the farmers themselves at the Mt. Hope market in Bristol every Saturday for far cheaper while cutting out the incredibly rude middleman. I am a champion of local businesses and prefer to shop at local stores like this. I really wanted to love this place but will NEVER spend another dime there after my first and last...

Read moreLast time I go there. I stepped away from the line to put my basket back and come back to a $22 total. 1.5 lbs of apples, 2lb eggplant, 2lbs of squash and $2 worth of marked items. I questioned them and I get it they are kids but an adult was right behind them and no one apologized. Just oops we had $14 worth of items already rang up. Wonder how many times a day this happens. No wonder one day I came in and heard the owner boasting to presumably a friend about how much cake they bring in. It seemed classless at the time to be discussing this in earshot of customers. I wouldn't doubt if this overcharge was intentional. Either that the cashiers cannot distinguish $8 worth of items from $22.
Buyer beware.
EDIT 10/12/25
Haven't been since I made this post. Stopped by just now and overcharged again. This place...
