Retro Fitness — Local services in Tamarac

Disrespectful, and rude staff B.B. who was argumentative and condescending. Went into the Tamarac gym 8/31 to question 2 charges on my account for the month of August, 2024. I have not used the gym in almost 10 months and requested to know why I was charged $52.43 and $29.99. (When I signed up I was told that I would only pay a one time fee for "First Responders" and no Annual). Never received my contract via email to this date.

The staff member, B.B. looked up the account and told me the charge was for an Annual Fee of $52.43. I asked her if my account could be suspended for another 4 month because I was going to be away. She told me 3 month is the usual terms and would have that 4 month request approved by her Manager who would be back on Tuesday next week. I tried to speak to staff B. B. to validate the conversation and she staring raising her voice telling me " I am gonna repeat myself again" and other rude remarks" . This lady was argumentative, disrespectful, confrontational and loud. Should not be in the forefront of anyone's business. I ended up cancelling my Membership instead of putting it on hold. They offered no enrollment fee when I clicked the link, then they charged $75 (which includes the enrollment fee I wasn't supposed to pay) the following month they charged me $23 then the 3rd month they charge me twice - $52 and $24 in the same month. No details on what the $52 is for. When I email them they pass me around to other departments and I don't have time to call the gym when the manager is there. The gym is nice, though. Anyone giving Retro of Tamarac a poor review obviously doesn't enjoy working out in a brand new state of the art facility. It's only $30/month for the Ultimate membership which allows you to bring a guest everytime, unlimited tanning, red light therapy, massage and unlimited classes (Zumba,Yoga, Etc). I have this package and it's well worth it. The personal trainer Vince is the coolest guy ever. Mike runs the day to day and is a super cool guy. Everyone is friendly and everything is brand spanking new! The only leg up i would give my old gym (LA Fitness) is that they had some equipment that retro doesn't currently have and the hanging sanitizer napkins I prefer over the bottles. My son goes with me so the Ultimate package suits my needs, but they do have cheaper options. Overall, I'm loving my membership benefits at Retro! BTW, the person who stated the place is small w/ no TV's was obviously at the wrong gym...because...
