Compassionate, Respectful, and Truly Caring – A Deeply Appreciated Service
When my father passed away, I was overwhelmed and unsure of what to expect, but from the very first moment I walked into this funeral home, I was met with kindness and compassion. The funeral director who first spoke with me was incredibly respectful and understanding of the situation. He carefully explained all the available options, never pressured me, and was sensitive to both my emotional state and financial circumstances. His professionalism and gentleness set the tone for the rest of our experience.
Though I didn’t arrange a full funeral service due to the limitations of my budget, I believe their prices are very affordable in comparison with other funerals and for the amazing service I received.I chose Wilson funeral home to handle several important aspects: they received my father’s body from the hospital, prepared him, provided a casket, received all flower arrangments and transported him to the cemetery for a one-hour ceremony. Throughout the nine days that my father was in their care, every member of the staff I spoke to—whether on the phone or in person—was courteous, soft-spoken, and genuinely considerate. Their office personnel were always polite and handled each interaction with grace, which made such a difference in a time of sorrow. I read some negative reviews about the funeral but my experience with them exceded my expectations and I want others to know.
I was deeply touched by the care they took in preparing my father. They trimmed his beard, dressed him beautifully, and when I brought his denture just hours before the ceremony, they kindly accepted it and placed it with him. Despite the length of time he was held, my father looked peaceful and dignified. My entire family was so impressed and comforted by how well he was presented.
On the day of the ceremony, we were given extra time at the cemetery, and the staff allowed us to open the casket for 15 minutes so we could say our final goodbyes. The two young staff members who brought the body were exceptionally respectful and kind—quietly supportive, never rushing us, and attentive to our needs.
Words truly cannot express how grateful I am for the service we received. They honored my father with dignity and supported us with compassion. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. Thank you for helping us through such a painful moment with care and...
Read moreThe service provided by Wilson Funeral Home for my son, Keelin Tiye Wilson, was absolutely phenomenal. From start to finish, the entire team showed such care, compassion, and professionalism during one of the hardest times of my life.
Mr. Bright is an excellent funeral director who guided me through every step with patience and understanding. Esther and Paulette took wonderful care of me and my family, making sure every detail was handled perfectly. Kathy sat with me during the service, and her kindness and support truly touched my heart.
Everyone at Wilson Funeral Home worked together so well as a team, and I couldn’t have asked for a more meaningful service for my son. I am beyond grateful and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking compassionate and professional care for their loved one.

Read moreI have used this business twice now and they have serviced three generations in this same family. Communication was never an issue. With covid directly affecting this line of business some consideration must be taken for the sheer number of calls verses staff. As far as services I personally wouldn't go to an open casket after a bad experience at another company. Wilson's handled my mother in law and she looked EXACTLY as her glamour shot looked and when I hesitantly walked my daughter to the casket I was amazed. She l looked like she was taking a cat nap before going out. I walked away relieved because my last image was her resting peacefully and that goes to the great work performed. Thanks for all...
