Several years ago, I spent five and one-half years purchasing, rehabbing and flipping houses. With two contractors, we flipped a total of 47 single family homes. Our area in north Texas (Grayson County) didn't have a Tri-Supply nearby, and I had contractor accounts at Lowe's and Home Depot. With the backing of an open line-of-credit at a bank, I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars and countless hours of my time purchasing supplies for room additions and home make-overs so that the contractors, with real expertise, could do what they do best and keep our projects moving. Now, at age 61, I'm building a small barndomimium that will ultimately be a retirement home for my wife and me. I'm not a contractor and don't have nearly the knowledge and skills of someone who is, but I may know more than some folks due to my house-flipping experience. At least I think I know what I don't know, and I'm not shy to ask for help and guidance from others.
My wife and I visited Tri-Supply in Temple and met Mason. Though Mason likely deals with experienced contractors all the time, he was incredibly patient and reviewed our house plans with us in great detail. He was kind to point out things that his experience of more than two decades led him to question, and we even had our house plans modified to accommodate several of Mason's suggestions. When our order for all windows and exterior doors arrived, it was completely correct and the delivery guys were super nice and very careful with handling our products. We returned to Tri-Supply today to place an order for interior doors, hardware for barn doors and all the MDF we plan to use for trim throughout the house. We were met with smiling faces and helpful attitudes that weren't "pushy" at all, and Mason, once again, spent more than two hours of his time helping us get this next order perfected.
In my opinion, this level of customer service just doesn't exist in many places associated with home construction. This Tri-Supply team in Temple is truly remarkable. They played an integral role in making our barndominium project result in a house that we're proud to show to anybody. Visit Tri-Supply and ask for Mason. Again, he's probably accustomed to helping builders that know much more than we do, but nonetheless, he treated us as though we're the most important customers he's ever assisted. I highly...
Read moreI purchased a Thermidorian kitchen appliance package from Trisupply. The service provided by Kelly was good. The installation package that we purchased for the refrigerator and range was terrible. It costs a ridiculously high fee of 1100$ And the service was sloppy.
Trisupply contracts with a company from Houston that installs for them. The installers come one time to look at the location and to make sure that everything is ready and they instal it the next time. The installers told us to get a trim piece for the refrigerator which we got and called them. They came the second time and installed the range. The metal stand of the range still moves rather then being secure. They then worked on the refrigerator and installed it half way, then measured the distance from the cabinet wall and told us that we need another 3/8 inch filler. So they would have to come again. So we then got our trim guy to make another filler. When we called them to come back, we were told that they only come one time and they would charge an extra fee to come back. When we talked to Trisupply , they had a tough time believing that we had done everything that we were told the first time and that the new filler was an add on item these guys had requested.
Nevertheless Trisupply rescheduled the instal visit again and the same installers (Tyler) installed the refrigerator but could not get the drinking water from the refrigerator to work. He also did not have double sided tape for the metal trim around the refrigerator water faucet and told my wife to purchase that from a local store and fix it. They left after that. We are now waiting to hear from a second installer. Meanwhile while cleaning today, my wife found the refrigerator filter on the floor today; which makes me wonder if that is the reason that it did not work?
This is extremely poor and sloppy service. After waiting for weeks, the refrigerator is still not installed. The customer service that we received from Trisupply was poor as they were short with us and did not believe us initially. They should not contract with a bad company. I would have to think twice about buying appliances from...
Read moreThis was my first visit to this particular location. I think the store offers a great variety of products, but I also agree with the other reviews that many of the items are ticketed on the higher scale.
However, my two star rating is because of the customer service I received while shopping there. I stopped by the location on Friday to check out an item that would be gifted and "Cody" the salesman informed me of info about the product. Things were going great until I asked for a total price on item to be printed. When I asked about pick up he did inform me that this was just a print out for quote and that I couldn't just pick up item without paying. Now, I'm not even sure why he would have clarified that to me because I think it's pretty obvious that I still needed to pay for the item. Who says that to people asking for a quoted print out?
I returned to store on Saturday morning to "pay" for my purchases. After I completed my purchase, I never was told Thank You by "Cody" or the sales clerk that checked me out for paying cash. Maybe they don't agree that spending $1200.00 is worth telling a customer Thank You. I also asked the sales clerk to inform loading dock staff to have my items wrapped in bubble wrap to help prevent rain from soaking my items. She told me she would let them know.
I then drove around to loading dock and the staff quickly began to load my items, but I had to stop them because of the items not being wrapped per my request. Now, I have to admit. I was a little perturbed about this because my needs as a customer from the front desk were not met.
The loading dock staff said they were not aware of my request, but would get it wrapped with no problems. After they wrapped and loaded my items, all three gentlemen told me Thank You .
I have to admit, if it weren't for the loading dock staff and if it wasn't a gift that was needed. I would have returned my items and drove to an alternate location or store to spend my...
