There are three Marker Baskets in Salem, NH. The little one next to the closed Kmart, the big one, formerly known as Demouls, next to the Home Depot and the new one at the Rockingham Race track where the filthy rich transplants are.

Anyhoo, the big one, next to Home Depot, they like to sell A LOT of "Mark Down" food. Well, there's NOTHING MORE DISGUSTING than when the employees mark down OPEN, HALF EATEN products at a reduced price! This IS A HEALTH FOOD VIOLATION!!!! BE VERY WARY OF ALL MARK DOWN PRODUCTS AT ALL THREE Salem NH stores!

It's either a FAKE markdown price, ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS, go over to the isle and double check the REAL price as the employees have a BAD HABIT of actually charging you MORE. ALWAYS check to make sure your mark down is NOT expired. OR, as I purchased the other day, an open and half eaten container of Planter's Peanuts. Now I'm on my way to the Big Market basket to speak to the store manager in regards to the OPEN, HALF EATEN product they sold at a mark down price.

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK ALL THEIR SO CALLED MARK DOWN ITEMS. On a side note, they also hire A LOT of people from Lawrence, MA to cross the border and they do NOT make for the best employees. The non-white employees from Lawrence, MA ARE truly the most RUDEST, IGNORANT & DISRESPECTFUL employees they ship up to Salem, NH to make our food shopping experience even MORE MISERABLE than it already is!

So, when Carlos, a fifteen year employee not only has the audacity to belittle you because of your appearance, throws a package of chorizo sausage accompanied by with an offensive and condescending tone after three different prices are given, what choice are you left with? I'm called Carmen, but the title is Dr. All of my colleagues, friends and family call me Carmen. A title means nothing. Attitude and demeanor tells you everything especially his red coat. A pseudo supervisor at Market Basket. He was repeatedly told about the three changes with the meat and store manager partaking in the fiasco while customers looked at me because I insisted on the right price.
