Marie Rose Fine Consignments — Local services in The Villages

I am in Florida visiting my parents. I lived in Florida 2 years ago. And would shop at Marie Rose Fine Consignments. I took my mother there Saturday March 8. I was appalled at what I witnessed. A women came in with clothing she wanted to sell. The young women behind the counter told her they didn't take clothes on Saturday. I didn't hear what the woman said. But the employee said, "Well, it's all over our website that we don't take clothes On Saturday. " Again the women replied which I did not hear. The employee then responded, "Well. That's not my problem." At that point the women left the store. The employee did not let it drop at that point. Another employee said. "Well you are getting a Yelp review to which the women said, I don't care." The employee continued to make disparaging remarks at which point I took my mother's arm and said, "We are out of here." I have never seen such a lack of disrespect as I saw at that moment. The employees voice was loud and carried throughout the store. I worked in retail before and understand it can be difficult at times, however; this employee went off with very little prodding. I was also disgusted at the way she berated the customer after she left the store.. It was also disgusting the way she continued to discuss it on the sales floor. I love this store, this may have been my third time coming to this store and I like to see what new designer clothes they have. Today I came in after I worked out so I wasn’t dressed very nice but I was just wearing a pink t shirt and athletic shorts, dressed appropriately and not sketchy or suspicious I had no hat or glasses on and I had no bag. I walked around the store picked out a non-designer dress and tried it on. It didn’t fit so I put it back on the rack I got it from and left. As I was walking out my boyfriend pointed out the employee starring at us from the window. I didn’t think anything of it until we got to our car and she is still starring us down for a good few minutes. I was looking back at her and my boyfriend was also looking at her as she was just starring at us. It was very uncomfortable and as someone who as well works in retail I can’t find any reason how we could be seen as suspicious. I am young and not dressed very nice, but that in no way means that I’m sketchy or up to no good. I just love fashion and Marie Rose is one of the very few consignment stores that carries designer. Won't be returning with my handfuls of name brand clothing and Dooneys to consign. I have traveled to this location on three separate occasions within the last week. Hour round trip each time. Long lines of people waiting to check out or consign. Was told on one occasion that the consignment staff went home 2 hours early. Staff has been rude on all occasions and could not schedule an appointment for me to come in when I called an hour prior.
