You'll notice the difference between a Maryland State Park and one in Pennsylvania because in Maryland our trails are extremely well marked, and in many cases maintained with stone and removal of fallen trees and vegetation. They are often highlighted by excellent signage as well as majestic scenic views. While I am not politically active, I must congratulate our Republican Governor Hogan who has astutely and generously funded the department of natural resources for the maintenance of these beautiful trails and Vista views. Ample parking that is paved, facilities with running water as well as restrooms, of course signage as well as maps. Maryland is a beautiful state and having been transplanted here from Pennsylvania over 30 years ago, I will never return. Maryland is my home, just look at our beautiful state and you will see why!
