This is Target. The typical Target we all know - great company when you go their store . And VERY VERY weird when you look at Target DC. Almost every rule is quite odd in Target DCs.
They tell you drop your trailer and leave the facility “use your hours of service “ , and come back “use your hos “- this is odd. How about if there is no a truck stop nearby? - VERY ODD .
A friend of mine had a delivery in a Target DC. He had just one pallet. He arrived on time. they asked him to go through all those odd/weird/unprofessional procedures and he did. After He waited good four hours , he requested if he is allowed to take that pallet off by himself. They said “No”. But at this time they felt embarrassed and they unloaded him.
I read most reviews in this location. Long list of reviews detailing the issues truckers face when they are in Targets locations. If you think these reviews could be a great resources for Target itself to learn lesson and then find solutions for it. Unfortunately it looks like that’s not the case.
Hey Target/management don’t think we “truckers “ hate you. Noo! Noo! No. WE LOVE YOU. But can any member of the managers/general managers respond to my review and explain for your follow truckers:
Why it takes 3, 4, 5, 6 hours and up to unload one...
Read moreMy appointment was at 08:00, and I arrived at 08:05. I Checked in at the guard shack. You must have your driver's license to check-in. They give you directions to drop your trailer in the slot in the yard. Then you drive to the bobtail parking area and enter the door to take your paperwork. They said they would give you a call when your trailer is ready. You have to leave the premises because you cannot stay there. But there is a pilot truck stop up the street, which makes things convenient. But when you run out of hours, you must sit at the pilot until your trailer is done. Then you go pick up your trailer. It is now 14:45, and my trailer still needs to be prepared. So I called the number on the paper gate pass they gave me to find out if my trailer was ready. The lady who answered the phone told me it was almost finished and that they would give me a call when my trailer was ready. I asked if she did not mind telling me what took so long for my trailer to be unloaded. She kindly said they had to build the pillows as they took them off the truck. This is insane! Why make the driver wait so you could build the pillows as you take them off the truck? I am totally out of hours. So do I go from here? I WILL NOT BE DELIVERING TO TARGET...
