If you have to go to an emergency room, do not go here I happen to break down In Tifton while visiting family I have Chronic acute back pain with compressed disc I ran out of my medication While visiting family, I could not get home to my doctors so I was admitted to the hospital for four days whilevisiting family, I hurt my back I could not get home to my doctors so I was admitted to the hospital for four days. And given a prescription for a $450 medication that I could not pay out-of-pocket because my insurance did not cover So I just tried to rest my back and not lay down Thinking I was doing better I laid down to try to sleep, and when I did my back styles and flew up again, and I could not move without being in excruciating pain had to call the paramedics once again, and had me taken to the emergency room For a second time, the doctor Give me A shot for pain that did not help me be able to set up. They came in and Second shot, which also did not help barely Relieved the Pain They came in and tried to force me to set up, and I was in so much pain that I was screaming. I had one nurse come in and screaming at me for being loud and hollering, even though I was in excruciating pain I do have acute chronic back pain. They treated me as if I was just a dried drug addict there for drugs. I was not I wanted to be able to sit up and walk out of there until I could get home on Friday to get to my doctor. The doctor did prescribe medication but sent me home without anything and just called prescriptions into the Publix Pharmacy, the nurses and staff the charge nurse Whitney is the name we were given, came in and told us that I had been discharged. I had requested a second opinion or to be admitted I was in severe pain and could not set up. They refused to give me a second opinion or admit me because they had already discharged me without doing any of the paperwork without bringing it to me to sign and told me if I did not get up To leave, they would call the police and have me taken out. I still cannot set up because I was in excruciating pain. They tried to force me sitting up and it hurts so bad. I just wanted to cry And scream out. They treated me horrible and Lied to me when I was able to finally stood up on my own without their help. I should’ve taken about 30 minutes just to sit on the edge of the gurney they came in and practically showed me into a wheelchair and took me out of the ER. I could barely even stand out of the wheelchair to get into the vehicle to transport me to family members where I was staying. I am going to be looking into a malpractice suit because I think what they did was totally inappropriate, gross incompetence and stereotyping. I am not a drug addict. I did not go in there for medication. I went in there for help because I was in severe pain please if you can go to any other Emergency room do so do not use that hospital emergency room. I’d gladly give my name James Riley from Deltona Florida This happened Thursday night September 11, 2025.
I would like to say when I was in the hospital up on the floor the nurses and doctors and everybody were wonderful. They took care of you. They treated you like a human being not like some drug addict or something walked in off the street which I did not, I was brought in by paramedics is the emergency room that is a...
Read moreAfter a long day and long week I decided to post my review about tift regional medical center. DO NOT HAVE YOUR BABY HERE. My girlfriend was induced Sunday 5-13-18 and we just had our baby 5-16-18. The nurses, doctors and whoever else entered the room was horrible. On the other hand there were about 3 good nurses. She was given 2 epidurals. because the first one failed and did not relieve any pain. The second one failed also, but they blamed it on my girlfriend's position when he was the one sticking the needle in and is supposed to know the position she needs to be in. So she went 30 hours in labor with the worst contractions. They would not do anything for pain besides a little sedative that wore off every 30 mins but could not be administered but every 2 hours. I went 30 hours having my hands and arms squeezed like they were in a press so I could assure you what she was feeling was horrible. All the way through labor, her machines would go off and we would have to wait 20-30 mins waiting on a nurse and would have to eventually call if one did not show up. Finally I guess this certain nurse got tired of coming in there and just told me how to cut the alarm off on this machine that was controlling her i.v. I was constantly calling and complaining and they kept telling me theres nothing more they can do. After about 25 hours, she started showing progress like she was gonna have the baby still no nurses would come to help. They would all sit and play on their phones. At this time they told us they would start giving antibiotics to fight infections but they never did. My girlfriends mom had to go tell the nurse she couldn't help but to push cause of the contractions. Well the nurse said they cant tell her not to push that wasn't there job. My mom had a word with them and still nothing happened. I called them with the button from the room and told them I need a nurse now. 40 mins passed I couldn't leave her side cause of how much pain she was in. So I hit the button again and didn't say nothing when she answered well I guess that got her attention and she came in there with an attitude and said "can I help you" and "yes can you get me a doctor or get me an ambulance to go to albany or moultrie" and she told me they're not moving her anywhere and also told me you need to give me the chance to help her. Now this is the same nurse that had her the night before and she obviously couldn't help her then so I wanted to leave. They're supposed to ask me for a good reason to move her and they would. They kicked my mom and her mom out the room until shift changed but they never said that was a rule or anything. When we finally had the baby and was moved to motherbaby we had a hospital director come talk to us about our visit and care we told her how we felt and she said she would get the floor manager here to talk to us this morning 5-18-18 and we still haven't heard from anyone. But I will go find her and talk to her before we leave. This has traumatized my girlfriend so much that she wont have any more kids. She has already told me she never will and I will never watch her go through this again so thank you Tift Regional...
Read moreI feel I am well quailifed to give an objective review, since I am cath lab nurse of 10 years. I can read between the lines. My husband, with severe pain, and an abcessed tooth, decided, much to my chagrin, not to seek treament at an oral surgeons office. I told him he had to go to the ED instead, because i believed he needed some IV antibiotics while we searched for another oral surgeon. Once we got back past the waiting room, we had a great experience at the ED. Dr Aina was great. He made quick decisions, gave appropriate care, and was super personable. He did a great job, and this crusty old nurse was pleased with him. 10/10 would recommend. Gracie, the nurse caring for my husband, was phenomenal. She came in with the confidence and a personality that would lead me to believe she had years of experience. I watched her technique in providing care and administering medications and have zero complaints. Fantastic nurse. She is thoughtful and cared about my husband's comfort. If I were a nurse manager, I would steal her away in a second. She is an asset to Tift Regional.
The bad. The wait. I know the hospital was probably full, and you were probably holding beds, just from the amount of cars still in the lot at 0230 when we were discharged. But have you considered having a fast track department in the ED? We were in the waiting room for exactly 5 hours. My husband could have probably received care at an urgent care. But he wouldnt have been able to have a CT, and frankly, i am not impressed with the urgent care offerings in this town, considering one in town sent my husband home with a food poisoning diagnosis and it was actually diverticulitis a bowel perf. Yes, I know about acuity and triage, I was impressed with the guy who came in with tachycardia being whisked back immediately (I eavesdropped on his family). But there really needs to be a solution to this problem of less acute patients waiting hours and hours. I can be patient, because I understand the process, but from the looks of your reviews, the citizens of...
