McCalls Candles — Local services in Tipton

An excellent place to buy high grade candles, the bottles with reed diffusers and high end oil, melt squares and scented discs. I've seen this store countless times driving to Sedalia and never had a reason to stop. Recently our boss gifted us all with one of the dark bottles with the reed diffusers and it was fantastic! All the different smells were high end, smelled pretty and really made a nice addition in our offices.

The prices are very reasonable, but not cheap or too $$$. There was a clearance section which was selling discounted reed diffusers for only $2.50!! The store is very designer looking, smells heavenly and very well organized. The reason they are not five star is that when I walked in, it was deadly quiet. Not a sound, no greetings were heard, I thought I was in there by myself. By the time the girl looked up from her phone when I finally made it to the counter with all my treasures, she finally acknowledged me politely and professionally, too little, too late. Pity...I guess business must be so good there is no need to be nice to the stray customer that comes in. Keep in mind that they close the store from 1-130 pm for lunch on the days they are open, so I would call first just to be on...

The long lasting scent of the wax is AMAZING, (which is the ONLY reason I gave 2☆''s). I received my "Campfire" Scented, 26 oz. candle as a gift, purchased at our local CHC Home Center in Rogersville, MO, that had 2 wicks and was only able to burn maybe 1/2-2/3's the candle before the wicks burnt away!!! 😔 😡 This size candle obviously needs 3 wicks, or larger diameter wicks. Would LOVE to buy more, but unless they make this extreme disappointmemt right, and suggest a candle that burns the ENTIRE contents of wax I will sadly not purchase, or recommend in good conscience,, anyone else buying them until they fix this problem!! My husband and I visited the factory store for the first time and we had such an amazing experience. The two women there were so nice and helpful and even gave me a free candle for my birthday. We bought several candles and some wax melts. We have burned one of the candies and also used the wax melts. They are so good! I’m very happy we stopped at this store. It was our first time but definitely won’t...
