If you are even remotely serious about your training, this place isn't for you. - they have a crazy rule which makes it impossible to train here.
The front office lady who helped me sign up was nice, I'll admit I skipped over the rules, as I thought they'd be common sense, much the same as any other gym - be courteous, let others work in if need be, wipe equipment after use, put weights back, etc.
This was a mistake.
I'd been super-setting power shrugs & dips for about 45min-1hr, & some lady started bothering me mid set, turns out it was staff, telling me some older gentlemen made several complaints that I'd been using the bench for too long -
There was another flat bench, along with a smith machine & incline bench, were they taken? not sure. - Not my problem either, I'm not going to cut my workout short & compromise my progress, or rush and risk getting injured for others convenience, anyways:
Clearly this staff member didn't know much about working out, and the more she spoke the clearer she made this to me, I tried to reason with her, but she genuinely believed I was in the wrong, she then gives me this elementary school treatment, & calls me to her office after publicly shaming me for absolutely nothing, & has me read over the rules.
Eventually we come across a rule that states you can only be on a "machine" for 15min at a time before you have to move, in this case it seemed she was referring to everything as a machine, I assume, given that I was using a bench rack & bodyweight dip/pullup station.
Obviously this rule makes it impossible to workout with any serious intent in most if not all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to like it. Gym itself is small, not bad. But why pay 32 when you can pay 15-25 at another 24hr location with a spa, massage chairs, big bathroom and locker room, and far more machines? Iām talking multiple stair masters.
This company will try to ROB YOU. Iāve had double payments before in one month, not even annual charges or fees just a random double payment. Iād moved to a new area and was no longer close to this gym, good luck and Godspeed if you ever try to cancel. You canāt speak to the gym about canceling a membership, you have to jump through hoops contacting a random number where itās difficult talk to a real person. Then, when you finally get a hold of someone, they make you request cancellations through via guess what? Yet another random contact info, some email address instead of number. How many second parties to go through to just cancel a membership?
Then, you have to pay whatever remaining months you have on contract, which thankfully for me was only a couple and whatever fees. This is fine, I knew it was in the contract. But after paying 100$+, they still will continue to charge your account as if you have the membership.
Absolutely horrible. I should not be getting charges after having my membership cancelled for over a month. Just save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else unless youāre cool with having your money stolen and jumping through hoops...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA bit cramped but they have the bare minimum for you to get a good pump. Im also impressed by the fact that they have a squat bar (a bar with tread in the center). Its a running issue across most commercial gyms that they ony have deadlift/crossfit bars and no bars with center tread. If you do squats, use the bar with center tread. Its safer to do so. I knocked off two stars for cramped interior, the lack of bench racks, and the fact that there is only one rack at all. People have to resort to bench pressing in the squat rack⦠thats just not ideal- quite amateur actually. Itās like, during the purchase of all the equipment, it was considered an afterthought. The bench and squat racks are such basic and crucial pieces of equipment. Perhaps they are even the most frequently used when compared to everything else. Its not like this place doesnāt have the room for two more. Removing some of the unnecessary clutter (and overwhelming number of cable weight equipment), they could easily add two more racks.
Idk, either the owners themselves made a poor decision, or the crowd they cater to simply goes to the gym as a social outlet. Or perhaps they wanted to purchase the extra equipment, but due to the quarantines of 2020 and this poorly performing economy they lost their financial...
