Ordered a birthday gift for my mother and specified delivery for the day of her birthday. The package was delivered a week earlier than requested (not the worst thing, but don't expect timely delivery). She took out the first chocolate covered strawberry and noted it was oozing and half rotten (“brown colored”). Four of the other strawberries had mold in the berry stems and there was discoloration in the chocolate from the leaky juice. Customer service ignored me (I waited two weeks before writing this review to give them a chance to make it right). Awful product and awful service. Go anywhere else if you want a chocolate covered treat. FOLLOW-UP: The company did follow up several days after writing this review. To their credit, they apologized, refunded the cost, and sent a replacement. Even though it was quite late, my mother still loved the replacement. I recently received a gift box of assorted chocolate covered nuts, dried fruits dipped in chocolate along with plain nuts and chocolate bars. I had received 3 boxes of chocolate during my recovery from surgery and this box of assorted treats was by far the most creamy and the best quality chocolate. The presentation of the boxed gift was lovely. It also had a gift card and a message from the person who actually packed the gift box. My favorite was the chocolate covered almonds. The almonds were salty and covered in a rich Belgian chocolate. The combination of the salt and sweet was a perfect combination. I have to admit that I haven't tried the chocolate bars with dried fruits and coconut in them yet. I'm trying to make everything last so I'm portioning the gift box and nibbling on a little everyday. After having personal experience working with Chocolate Covered Company for my bridal shower and wedding, I would strongly encourage you to take advantage of their incredible products and service for any/all of your events. My bridal shower guests couldn’t stop at one strawberry (good thing we got extras) and our wedding guests kept asking if they could take extra boxes of Oreos because they were so delicious! I also did not want a typical wedding cake topper, so the company worked with us to create customized bride and groom cake pops for the top of our cake. Not only was it the perfect touch I was looking for, but they were incredibly tasty!
