Tops Friendly Market — Local services in Town of Adams

I was disappointed after shopping and going through checkout. I worked in hospital microbiology lab for more than 43 years and I notice things that many people do not notice. The cashier seemed visibly upset when I asked her to please clean the counter before I placed my groceries on it. There had been a customer there ahead of me and there was water or something left from his groceries. I also suggested that there was no need for the saran wrap on the debit/credit card machine. I am not impressed with this grocery store other than it being the only grocery store it's employees are miserable and almost always make me feel like I'm bothering them when I have needed help. In my experience the cashier's have more knowledge of the store than management I spend at least half an hour anytime I've been to the store no matter what I go for it's never in and out. Personally? I think Tops is overpriced and their produce goes bad faster than when purchased at any other store. Their bulk food section is a good idea in theory- but doesn't sell fast enough to keep it fresh. Gummy Bears are NOT supposed to be hard as a rock. Tops milk goes sour before the sell by date. The prices at the Pulaski location on most things are ridiculously high as the only local competition is Aldi's. I only shop here when overpaying for their groceries is cheaper than making a trip...
