Made my appointment via online, took my vehicle. In had the typical maintenance oil and filter, tire rotation fluid top. Above and beyond that service the manager informed me of my NYS inspection was overdue by 5 months they completed that. (Saturday) I notified them that it was coming, and I was told that I would get a call Monday. Monday afternoon, I called to inquire and the service techs were already gone. The manager was very helpful and went out to check to see if my car had arrived or not. My car had arrived Saturday and he promised a call in the morning.
Tuesday I received a call informing me that my motor was bad. When I inquired further, they said it clunked and rattled and sounded pretty bad. (Thanks, thatās why I had it brought in!) When pressed they said it was just worn out. I asked if there was an engine misfire and they said āwell yesā. (Iām hoping that the elementary school answers they gave were because I was a woman and not because thatās the skill level of the garage.) I was really hoping they would tell me something I didnāt know. I do understand a deep diagnosis would have cost more, but they didnāt even offer that. Due to the high price of cars these days, I asked how much it would be to replace the motor.
A salesman (not service) called me back to inform me that replacing the motor would cost about the worth of the car, but they would be more than happy to help me find something new. I agreed to the sales appointment although I wasnāt pleased thus far.
At the appointment I gave a lowball figure to see if they would be willing to work with that. The salesman did a halfhearted search on their website and then wished me the best in my car search. I appreciate that they didnāt try to talk me out of my low end budget, so they have that going for them.

Meanwhile we can check it out, in 45 min a got a loaner car for going home since they have to order parts for my car (difficult parts that only this dealer can get them so fast) The service I received from all of them is always excellent. So easy, they doing everything for me to make it a great experience! I love this new loaner that is an explorer "why not"š, they made sure it was clean, have gas, they wash the car before I get it (I love this car š), so because my daughter has allergies, they found me the perfect vehicle to drive meanwhile my GMC Denali is fixed, I would highly recommend UPSTATE CHEVROLET ATTICA NY and the team, especially Al Ficarella.
