No one is born a truck driver. It takes specific instruction and lots of driving experience to confidently operate a powerful 18-wheeler. Truck. Driver training is not for those unwilling to go through a challenging program. It takes a winning combination of determination and courage to successfully complete the training program and pass the CDL exam.
However, men and women of every age, race, and personality credit their successful truck-driving career to the CDL Driver training program they are enrolled in. Although the final CDL exam can seem overwhelming and stressful, keep in mind that the CDL programs taken at the Commercial Driver Training school located on 600 Patton Ave, West Babylon, NY are very professional and designed to instruct new drivers with no previous experience to successfully pass the test.
I highly recommend this school to any person looking to get into professional driving for a living. May it be an 18 wheel tractor trailer, box truck, limo or bus driver this school has it all.
I would especially like to thank and send my upmost gratitude to the most amazing team at the Commercial Driver Training school I attended. and graduated with a CDL Class A license.
First there is the back office that is run smoothly by Linda, and who is the star quarter back of the highly talented and well coordinated individuals Chris, Jenna and Maria. A Special Thanks ! to all four of these hard working women!
Second there is the gifted and experienced classroom instructors Jeff and Lenny. Both Instructors will teach you very patiently on all you need to know to get behind the wheel professionally and pass all DMV related exams. Two very competent and accomplished men who are well versed in the field.
Third and definitely not the least are the on the road instructors. They consist of Darren, Ives, Mike, and especially BIG THANKS ! to the following instructors Jimmy and Ray. These instructors are dedicated to helping you know and understand the on the road experience of the vehicle you intend to drive for a living. They are all current and former expert truck drivers that will have you confidently driving your vehicle of choice in a short...

I found CDT through google, seen the reviews and thought to myself “why not”. The reviews was good and it was close to me because I live on Long Island. I was sooooo wrong. This Driving School was the worst experience. My first problem was that they kept on giving me a new instructor every time I was scheduled for class. Each instructor does things differently. Completely not organized. Then to Schedule a road test the wait is about 3 to 4 months. Another issue, I think they do that on purpose So that you can continue to take your money. Their pricing is not bad. But they only teach you very small steps so that you have to take more lessons than you signed up for.. this company knows how to scam ppl. Then by the time they finally get you a date, you still need to take more lesson because they haven’t reached you the knowledge that is needed to pass the road test. So basically if you fail, you have to take more classes with them, pay to use their truck again and wait a long period of time to get back another road test date.. $$$$$$
I even spoke to the ladies at the front desk about the way things were going with the different instructors and their reply to me was that “they can’t give the same instructors because they work different days and times, and the place them in different areas all the time. That’s a major issue. Students need to have one instructor and that one instructor teach that student the proper way to handle the road.
My experience was very baaaaaaad. I don’t want anyone else to go through what I been through so please don’t sign on to this school. You will be highly disappointed .
In conclusion, I stop going to this school and started attending a school in New Rochelle By the name of Heritage Auto School. They was a great help and helped me to score my CDL Class A license in less than two months.
I hope this review helps to not let others make the same mistakes I made attending...
