Terrible experience after I signed up with the deposit - once they have you on the hook ($1800 deposit for small kitchen), the customer service disappears entirely. Oh and get ready to pay $700 just to have your own sink installed. With such high prices, frankly I expect better service. When they measured, I asked about how they stabilize the dishwasher and was told (by John, the measurement tech and installer, who should know) to go look it up myself in my dishwasher owners manual, which I did to confirm my understanding. When I asked about whether the stove would be flush with the backsplash so low, I was told that my stove wasn’t made to be flush and that the stove would stick out OR I could pay $175 to have them re-measure because apparently they didn’t measure well enough the first time because they figured the backsplash would cover their slop. What a joke! Now comfortable looking at my owners manuals (thanks Whispering Pines!) I looked it up and confirmed that my stove indeed WAS made to be flush to the wall (which is why it’s so ugly on the sides sticking out from the cabinets). I wasn’t given any option that I didn’t either have to pay more for or wouldn’t accommodate my appliances which existed at the time of measuring. When they did the windowsills, they refused to do the same size sill I currently have because of “materials integrity” (it’s worked so far??) so the tiny sill can no longer have plants on it. It’s as if they don’t realize this is my kitchen, which I have to live with, not them - and as if they think the homeowner has no knowledge/right to decide how they want their own kitchen to look and function.

Update: After so much time invested on my part (deposit paid in October) and so much back and forth, rather than work on a solution I’d be happy with, I’ve received a refund (December) of my original deposit and can happily spend my hard earned money with a business who will value me...

In fact, when I decided to do a kitchen renovation for my own house a few years ago, Whispering Pines was the only choice I considered to build my dream kitchen! The final result was fantastic! Edward even found a way to fit in a wine fridge where there had been unused space. The timeless quarter sawn white oak cabinets are custom furniture quality and blend seamlessly into our open plan.

Recently Edward worked with us on a new Keuka Lake home for our clients, installing our designs for a custom kitchen, laundry room, primary bath, guest and cabana baths. His team was even able to install the 14ft live-edge kitchen island countertop we had selected with our clients.
