I have been going here now for about 2 months. The atmosphere is fantastic. Laid back and no pressure. But if you need to get pumped and have an intense workout, it's good for that too. Hands down one of the best gyms ever. I used to be terrified of the gym but the environment here is welcoming and everyone is very supportive and friendly. The owners are super kind and very helpful. So, in honor of all the friends competing today, we did an SBD Day. Mind you, this week has been insane lifting wise, so I came in expecting the worst, and with all things considered, it's not a bad day. Squat, gym was empty, not a spotter in sight. We ended with 605 for squats. That's a match to my all-time comp best. And in sleeves instead of wraps. Bench, I really just was aiming for 385, but when 365 move moved, I decided to toss the 2.5lbs on and send 390. And man, it moved well. So we said send it at 405. And it felt decent. Again, there is no spotter. No lift off. The then dreaded deadlifts. Knowing I deadlifted yesterday, I didn't really know what was gonna happen. The goal was 572 or more. Did 405, 495, and 585. They were okay sets and then attempted 610, and that's where the CNS tapped. So, in conclusion, each lift would have made comp PRs in a lighter weight class. In sleeves instead of wraps. And after beating the hell outta it this week. With a 1595 total.
