Tri State Gate is the #1 best company to call for automatic estate entry gates-period. I see with 5x power magnification loupes everyday so I'm used to looking closely when I work. I am a tough customer to deal with when workers or product are not 100%. My project involved the village's tough Architectural Review Board, bringing in electric, Cat6 cables & wifi, and a steep pitch. I wanted no higher than 6" gap because of my dogs.I researched other companies on the East End of Long Island & I decided on Tri State Gate because they have the most experience & best reputation. Mark called back immediately- unlike many Hamptons contractors. He showed up on time, & showed me a lot of Tri State gates in my neighborhood. What set theirs apart was that none were installed with giant gaps, ugly motors showing or sagging columns or obtrusive in appearance. Anyone who drives around the Hamptons knows what I'm referring to. Tri State worked with me to design my gate patiently. Then they fabricated it from my choice of materials in their shop- not outsourced. Then it was installed seamlessly by their own crew. It's amazing- you can't even see the motors and it structurally overbuilt and is beautiful..The steep pitch that needed grading and resetting of cobblestones was an easy fix because Tri State was hands-on with my mason. They worked closely with my irrigation contractor who laid the conduits and my electrician who brought the wiring. John and Adam wired in the latest most up to date, easiest to use, high tech call box that I can access for remote entry from my iphone anywhere. They are true professionals that know their product. I wouldn't trust anyone else. The picture is crystal clear and video and stills can be saved and archived. The box takes multiple entry codes for family members, staff, fire, police. I can open, close & lock the gates remotely from the iphone. The last praise is for how fair the job was priced. In my neighborhood contractors usually multiply the "up Island" price by 2 or 3. Not Tri State. They price things the same way all of the tri state area & their price was VERY fair without compromising premium quality. Last comment- I'm not related to or have any friends in...
Read moreI don’t often write reviews, but this particular story had to be told. On the weekend of November 10-11 2018 ,I begun to have issues with our gate and needed immediate assistance. I called the Tri State Gate and was able to communicate with someone right away. The individual I was communicating with directly was named Chris, The level of attention he has given me was truly remarkable and that is the sole reason why I wanted to write a few words about my experience. He walked me through my issue over the phone, paying attention to every detail and taking into account my frustration, and was able to easily derive at a solution to my problem. He did so on his own personal time, going above and beyond for me as the customer. His dedication to me as a customer was greatly appreciated and I can truly say that I have never felt the amount of support coming from an employee of any company I have ever dealt with in the past. Again, thank you Chris, thank you Tri State Gate for all of your...
Read moreUnfortunately had a bad experience with the estimator Mark. During the meeting with my partner, he acted like he was on 10 cups of coffee which was very unsettling and unprofessional. He asked my partner to text him photos of what we wanted, which we did. After receiving no answer, my partner called him with no response. We then called in multiple times to ask for an update, which we were told a message would be relayed to him, but he never got back to us. After a month, we called again and finally the supervisor was looped in, and she said she'd speak with him. Mark finally reached out, excused his behavior, which was quite annoying after everything, and said no messages from the office were ever relayed to him... After all of that, he then proceeded to give us a quote for an incorrect type of fence from what my partner asked for because he was too hyper to listen, and quoted a ridiculous amount for gates (60k+ for driveway, 6k for a small wooden gate...
