I rented here for two years. One year later the guarded gate was gone, there was no lifeguard, the building weren't power washed and the beds weren't mulched. My apartment had Roaches and their exterminator came three times and did nothing i had to buy a roach bomb to get rid of them. Two of my neighbors let their dogs run loose, garbage spilled into the parking lot, and i couldn't find parking in the evening because of abandoned and commercial vehicles. The worst experience was when I moved out... at the walk through the maintenance chief pointed out the fridge wasn't completely empty. I emptied and cleaned the fridge and freezer but they charged me $80 for a "deep" clean. They also deducted $760 for carpet replacement. The carpets were not ripped, burned or damaged in any way. They had only normal wear and soil of two years. And I went back to the office a few weeks later and then looked through the windows of my apt and could see the carpets had been cleaned. The glass top on the stove was scratched but still worked. They charged $703 for a new stove when you can get a replacement top for $200. Finally, and this is the best, theydeducted $108 for a dentedfrudge door. The fridge was dented at themove inwalk through. This was photographed and documented by maintenanceand even though they admitted they had those photos they still charged me!, I would not move here but if you do take lots of photoswhen you move in and again when youmove out. I have read people have problems gettingtheir security back so be prepared, They did call me and conceded the fridge was already dented. They said one carpet wS stained and they replaced it. They only cleaned it. And at $760 that worked out at $58 a yard. Do they expect us to believe a community that houses section 8 has carpet at this price point! I am 80 years old and on social security and $1600 + is a huge blow to myfinances .so now I am off to sue in small claims court and complain to the state...

READ THIS BEFORE THINKING ABOUT MOVING IN! My boyfriend and I rented from here for almost a year and a half until we couldn’t take it anymore. There were two different occasions where his car was vandalized and broken into. Someone set a car on fire at 2:30am one night and there were multiple break ins near our apartment. The burnt cars that were set on fire, sat in the parking lot for almost 6 months! This all happened in a matter of a year while we were here. They don’t take ANY responsibility for what happens, no matter what. They have security that just sleep on the night shift while all this is happening. I can’t even say I’m lying because below is picture proof. We kept our place SO clean. I have a 3 year old baby sister who loved playing with the blinds and ripped up part of the carpet unfortunately. But other than that, it was spotless. As of right now, they’re claiming that we won’t be getting a majority of our security deposit back because of “pet odor” but we don’t have any pets. Charged us $983! I’ll probably end up going to the news if they don’t fix it. This place is a disaster. Absolutely terrible. You have people fighting at 3am while hard working citizens have work at 6am. Do not move here. You won’t be able to sleep until you move out. We are still fighting with them and we just want out. We had to end our lease early because we couldn’t take it anymore. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

I just wanted to update on what trash this complex is because I’m sorry it’s unfair that I work and pay rent too much rent for this cesspool.

I spoke to some police and ems that frequent the property and I’m told there are gangs in the buildings. Drugs and crime all around the complex with zero security. This welfare tenement is not worth a penny of your hard working dollars. Unless you’re getting government assistance then come on down !!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ITS UNSAFE TO LIVE HERE

I’ve been renting here now 1.5 years I only stayed because I just had a baby. I’m paying almost 3k for a 1 bedroom apt while my entire development is section 8. There are crackheads living 2 houses down…a man walked into my apt and ran out!!! There are filthy neighbors throwing dirty diapers on the ground and never is there any one to pick up the trash. People drive on the grass where I was almost struck while walking my son on the path ! If you are a hardworking tax payer like myself I urge you to go elsewhere it is a tenement, it’s all government housing and there are creepy people walking in and out of the woods at all times of night. And not to mention charcoal grills being used with flames so high they hit the balcony a huge fire hazard!!!!! I have continuously voiced my fears and concerns to with no solutions it a disgusting place and Heatherwood should be ashamed...
