So I moved into this place last month as a last resort biggest mistake I made the fees are ridiculous the noise is unacceptable and bills nothing is included anymore where they used to include gas and water there are units in my building that donât pay for it and the new people coming in are the ones paying Iâm a single person thatâs paying over 70 for water a month and over 120 for gas because of the units that have it included in their rent itâs highly unacceptable because the company has gotten greedy over the years I pay 2,200 a month for a loft apartment with the electric in my name so thatâs not even part of the 2,200 I pay per month if youâre looking for a place to live do not move into any of these communities try and find a better one where you get your moneyâs worth and arenât paying for others utilities, this morning at 7 am they had a tree service there making more noise than ever and every morning at about 530 they are on the grounds making sure the golf course is ready for 6am tee times maybe the community should be more respectful of the people living on the grounds than the people coming to play on them . Overall very unhappy with everything here. I also had to have my toilet fixed because it looked like the first toilet in the unit it was mildewed and rusting and running all night long and the ac in my room above my bed leaks and was duct taped and the tape removed before I moved in this property does not replace anything the stove has been fixed by using a sharpie marker on the scratches the sink has white out on it to cover the chips made previously and Iâm sorry the amount of money Iâm paying everything should have been replaced new and I shouldnât have had any maintenance issues at all . Again if youâre looking for a place to live look any where else once my lease is up Iâm gone Iâd move now but to break the lease itâs over 10,000 . Overall zero less than zero stars for this experience very sad since I grew up in manorville and Iâm disgusted by the...
Read moreI must be the only person living here that has not had good experiences with the maintenance crew. The first time I needed them, I had huge limbs from downed tree branches in my yard. A snow storm was pending and I was afraid that if we got the amount of snow that was predicted, I might trip on the snow covered branches while walking my dog. It took two requests and a week for them to come remove them. The second time I needed them, I had a mouse problem. I emailed them for service when I had caught 4 mice. It took three requests and 8 days for them to come plug up a hole outside where the mice were entering. By that time I had caught ten mice in my apartment. Yesterday they showed up at my apartment with an exterminator. No advance notice. I work 4 jobs daily so I wasnât home. I had recently installed a Ring doorbell but didnât see the video until later in the day. They rang the bell and knocked twice and I heard them say âwell, we tried.â I emailed the office and asked why they were there. I was told they entered my apartment with the exterminator. Totally not true since I have the video to prove it. Aside from maintenance, the apartments are far from luxury, in my opinion. When you see luxury advertised, the least I would expect to see is ceiling fans and light fixtures throughout the apartment. There are none. No central air, just outdated, inefficient through the wall air conditioners. The appliances are old, not like the beautiful ones shown on here. For the price I am paying, over $2000 for under 660 square feet, i think itâs ridiculous. Iâm going to ask how much rent is going up before my lease is up so I can look for something else more affordable. At age 65, I shouldnât have to be working 4 jobs just...
Read moreIâve lived in five states & have rented apartments for the last seven years so I have plenty of renting experience to reference. They market this complex as âluxury villasâ but the units are far from luxury. To get in the door, you need at least $5-6K for a 1 bed, 1 bath (no washer and dryer in unit) the wash room doesnât take cash & only a few of them work. It only takes a specific card that you have to go & purchase. Every experience will be different but for me, I waited about 4-5 weeks to get a unit, the unit they gave me smells like a smoke shop & cat litter. I know the maintenance guys tried their absolute best to re-do the floors & walls but this unit smells like someone smoked a pack of cigarettes a day for 10 years. The cabinets are sticky with yellow tar from the accumulation of smoke. The clothes & items I put in the closet also smells like litter & smoke, so overall that was really disappointing & frustrating to deal with. Unfortunately, these are the only apartments in this area of Long Island. These apartments have been here for decades, they could absolutely use some remodeling/modern appliances & do a better job at cleaning or giving people cleaner units especially if someone was a heavy smoker. For the price you pay, it could be a LOT...
