the layout course and the maintenance of the course is 5 stars, the staff is mostly friendly and helpful although on the day of my bachelor party we played the course before going out and we were rushed through the course with almost nobody ahead or behind playing, just because their boss was behind us, we asked if we could just tee off after and they said no and just had people coming up to us in carts throughout the course telling us to play bestball (we were a group of 4 with 1 beginner and had VERY fast pace so it wasnt warranted as we never made the group behind us wait) also as a resident of this golf course i used to be able to play free. now i am offered 10% off, this is a JOKE and i will be taking my tee times elsewhere where my business is appreciated(i always brought 3 paying players and ate after) i have heard staff will have to pay to play also and if that is true i hope they all search for jobs at other courses. you wont find a more beautifully kept course but you will not have to search far for a better...
Read moreIMMACULATE CONDITION for the Sept. 11th. We played an annual outing in remembrance of a dear friend. The staff, especially Carolyn was a pleasure to deal with, very helpful and accommodating. Ordered food to go from JCs (restaurant on site) and sat at the tables outside the pro shop. Let me emphasize how pristine the course was. Most courses have aerated at this point in the season, but Pine Hills greens were gorgeous and rolled beautifully. Fairways were perfect. My only critique was the bunkers, they need to invest more in that area, but nonetheless, a perfect venue, affordable and really great people running that place. THANK YOU, we will be...
Read morePine Hills is hands down one of the best public golf courses on Long Island. The layout is challenging but fair, with wide fairways in some spots and tighter holes that really test your accuracy. The course is always in excellent shape—the greens roll true, the fairways are well maintained, and you can tell the grounds crew takes a lot of pride in keeping everything top-notch.
The staff makes the experience even better. Everyone from the pro shop to the starter to the cart team is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The practice facilities are excellent too, with a great range, short game area, and putting green to warm up before your round.
Every time I play here it feels like a first-class golf experience. If you’re looking for a well-maintained course, professional staff, and a fun but challenging round, Pine Hills should be at the top...
