The only reason for only 3 stars is ease of getting out of the track. The track itself, the cars and the racing is absolutely top notch. The race we attended used to be called the Dixie land 250 great racing 250 laps of excitement lead changes, rubbin wheel marks, great battles in the pack with guys trying to move up and get to the front but clean driving making the racing tight and fast fun seeing various pit stop strategies this race had excitement to start to finish. The seating is pretty bare bones bring something to sit on or you'll have a sore behind lol prices were actually pretty good for a bigger race with a purse that drew a lot of stars and cars we never felt the "ripped off" feeling you get at some of the big sports events. Great value for more than 5 hours of enjoyable excitement this just might be a bucket Lister. As I said in the beginning it needs a little work as far as getting out not much traffic control or marking of exit routes seemed like just fighting traffic to find something that looks like a lane heading out with cars trying to get to the lane from every direction with no traffic control. The first traffic control we saw was when after 45 minutes we reached a main road not a deal breaker it was...
Read moreWhat a blast! I participated in Real Street Drags for the first time tonight and it was amazing! I've heard some negative stories regarding previous Real Street Drag nights because of very long wait times (some only making as few as 2 runs in a 6 hour timeframe. Tonight was completely different! The new owners did a fantastic job rebooting this event into what it's meant to be: REAL Street cars drag racing! My wife and I both raced our vehicles and had a blast. It was a great environment for the family as well, we brought our 18 month old. Concessions were great as well (good prices, too). Honestly, we don't have a bad word to say about our experience.
We also attended a car meet a couple weeks before the Real Street Drags. They allowed anyone who came to come and park on the figure 8 track! During this event, they held a raffle and collected food donations from the attendees. 1000lbs of food was collected for charities by a local car enthusiast group, Green Bay After Hours! The owners were fantastic hosts to this event and it was just great to see the enthusiasts giving back to the community. These two experiences have us convinced we will be back many times this summer and hopefully many...
Read moreI have been coming to WIR since I was a kid, and now my kids are going there with me and their friends. Eve of Destruction is the absolute best thing since sliced bread! Just get there when the gates open to get a good spot. They have food, booze, beer, fast cars, giveaways, bus races and crashes, and football with buses and huge football. If you’re lucky you will see something explode! This is definitely good family friendly fun. The drags on Friday and Saturday are awesome too. So many different drag cars in a variety of years and types. You can also bring your dog, just keep them on a leash and pick up after them please. Only complaint is that in over 20 years they could at least upgrade the bathrooms. Aren’t you tired of them getting backed up on...
