Road Trip Food And Spirits — Restaurant in Town of Buchanan

Well... after a couple of years of staying away, my wife & I decided to give Road Trip another try. Sadly, that was a mistake. The food was not bad, but once again, the service was "Very Slow". We walked in just as a couple was leaving, so we were able to get a table right away. We were given menus and then... the wait began. After sitting for 15+ minutes, I went to the bar & ordered drinks. Only then did a waitress show up at our table. She took our order (fish for both of us & an order of cheese curds). Cheese Curds cam out after about 10 to 15 minutes. No issues there. HOWEVER.... it was long after that, that our drinks were gone. NO ONE came to check on us much less ask if we wanted / needed another drink. By this time, it's been a half hour since I got our drinks at the bar. Finally we were able to get the attention of our waitress & get refills. Waiting, Waiting, Waiting..., just over an hour of waiting for our food, we were told it should be out soon. Food Finally shows up & only then were we told they had a big to go order that came in. (That's funny, because where we were sitting, we could see the to go orders going out. Only big order that went out, left 15 minutes after we got there). Almost an hour and a half from entering to food at the table WITHOUT any explanation until the food arrived. YES... the food is good. But the service is still very much lacking and thus 2 stars. Honestly can't say we will ever return much less recommend Road Trip. Service has to improve 10 fold. If you have just been swamped with to go orders, fine. But then be honest & let your customers know that their food order may be delayed. Don't make people wait 15+ minutes before asking if they would like something to drink. Just very Disappointing. Again, it's Not a food issue. It's a Staff issue.

We have eaten her about 4 or 5 times now & found the same result every time. "Slow service". Tonight 8/17/18 was probably the worst. There were like 12 to 15 people at the bar & only a table of 6 seated. So we were able to sit right away. Took forever to get our drinks. Said shed be right back with our water. After over 10 minutes we went up to the bar to get our water.(she neverdd bring it). Took forever to get our food and when it did come, my order was wrong. (Ordered 2 combo plates and 1 reg perch dinner) all 3 were combos.*she did offer to fix it, but fearing that would take longer yet, we just moved food around. Asked for the bill & that took another 10 to 15 minutes. (The place was still almost empty). They knocked a whole 1.50 off our bill.

Will we go back? Maybe... but not...

Stopped there for a quick drink and a pizza. It was busy due to a baseball tournament in the area. We understood it might be a bit of a wait. The bartender Ashley was rude and very short with customers. Many customers left (some without paying)after waiting for over an hour to get their orders. Most had to finally get their food put into to go containers because they had to get back to the baseball field. We ordered a simple pizza and after almost 2 hours of giving them the benefit of the doubt from being busy I asked how the pizza was coming and Ashley looked very surprised by that question. It was discovered that our order was never started even after she lied to us and said it was done and would be out in 2 minutes. We told her to forget about the pizza and we would settle up on our drinks. She ignored what I said and didn’t come back to us. After about 15 minutes she finally came over to us with a pizza she threw in a box and somewhat threw the pizza on the bar with the bill, never said a word and walked away. I left the money on the bar and walked out. I will NEVER...

We went there before it got busy, ordered food. We didn't get any utensils to eat with and we also didn't get our fries. I stood by the cook waiting for my fries. The bartender said, "you didn't get fries because I didn't put it on the order" no apology or anything. I told my brother to go ask if they were hiring because there was an old woman in the kitchen dropping stuff and looking frantic. They said YES they were hiring. My brother started his first day on Thursday at 5pm. The owner never paid him for this day of work and never provided any training whatsoever. She got mad because they didn't provide any paperwork or menu to follow when building the customer orders. WHAT A JOKE! No wonder you're always hiring. I'm pretty sure not paying my brother for the 1 day of work is illegal. WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. Good luck when the...
