Dollar General — Local services in Town of Cairo

Very rude staff, I witnessed a female worker being very rude to a customer. She assumed the lady was putting stuff in the reusable shopping bags when I literally saw she was just moving them out of the way. The lady was so embarrassed. She lifted up the bags to show nothing was in them as well as the ladies purse was wide open so u can clearly see she done nothing. Not even a apology to the woman. It was a short bigger girl working with glasses. She then had the younger Male worker "indirectly " follower her around. The Sad this was I was just speaking to the young woman and she had just said she had gotten her taxes and hasn't gotten clothes for her kids in awhile be a she couldn't afford it. The workers should be ashamed of themselves. The lady took all her stuff out of the cart and left very embarrassed and upset. Smh. I then did the same thing. They lost 2...

Gosh, I prefer this place over Family Dollar, to be honest. When Dollar General was first built and opened, the entrance was very crowded, but now, as of late, it is nicely opened with how they divided the cash register and the shelving for any last-minute items! Though, the downside to this store, although has a lot more to offer comparative to Family Dollar, everything is all over the place in a way. The food items, all good, nicely organized and everything. But... When I go there, my family and I make loops around the small building to find certain things as they have stuff categorized in an odd way- at least something different than I am use to. The staff is pretty nice and helpful, especially the other day when we couldn't find a putty knife, one of the workers had helped us find something that could work in its place! So...

One of the worst stores that I have been to the place is a mess, you can't get down any isle without tripping on the boxes of merchandize that they fail to put away if there were a fire you can't get out and an ambulance team would never be able to get to you or get you out with emergency equipment. The employees are rude and then when you get to the register you have to search for someone to check you out after about 10 minutes someone finally comes out of the office with their attitude like your disturbing them.
