The processing department is very knowledgeable. The above review was a couple years back! Things must have unfortunately changed dramatically. To date 12/2020 my son and I took a couple harvested game to be processed and the gentleman whom took down the information and such was unfortunately amongst the worst customer service we have ever underwent. Rude, sarcastic to say the least. People pay hard earned money to get their processing done in a professional manner. We as Sportsman are excited about each and every harvest & treat our harvested game with respect and expect the same from the processor! The gentleman whom took are information must not like his profession all that well, all he did was complain about having to do his job. I have taken deer here to be processed for two separate years now. The first year, I felt like I was not given back all of my deer, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. This past year, I took the larger of my two deer to Lighthouse, and the other to another butcher in the zone I got it in. When I got my deer back, I assumed I was missing some. Upon returning to the store, I showed the box from the other butcher to the kid that came out to talk to me, and questioned the amount of meat I received back, especially since the deer from the other butcher was much smaller than the one I brought here. The kids response was, “I don’t know what to tell you.” After spending countless hours in the woods, and looking forward to sharing this deer with my family, it’s absolutely disgusting that this place either skimmed or hacked up my deer. Turned in a deer and got 15lbs of meat back. Including packaging. The worker or owner whoever it was argued with me for 15 mins being extremely rude telling me I would only get back 1/3rd of the deer in meat. Your telling me the deer I turned in was 45lbs? Absolutely obsurd robbed me $110 for less then 15lbs of meat. I have posted them all over social media and there are many upon many of people who had this same issue with light house.
