We had a reservation for 2 people, waited over 30 minutes for our table WITH A RESERVATION! So it started off rocky, the general manager was made aware of our ridiculous wait and did nothing. My husband ordered a bowl of soup to start with because their soup of the night was lobster bisque and we got mozzarella sticks, he said the soup was good, the mozzarella sticks weren't terrible but they're served with ice cold marinara sauce (not a fan). It was burger night so we both ordered burgers, I ordered mine without onion and cooked medium rare, my husband ordered his rare, they came out and the presentation was good but that was about it! I immediately notice there is grilled chopped onions all over my plate, then I take the top bun off and scrape all the onion off my burger, our waitress just happened to walk by as I was doing this and she stops and asks if I want her to take it back, I tell her no ill make do with it. Then I notice both of our patties have perfect edging and are the exact same size and think to myself, "are these frozen burger patties?" I proceed to cut it in half to confirm these are definitely some cheap frozen burger patties they're using!! Mind you on any regular day they're charging $11 for a traditional hamburger with a $2 cheese & bacon upcharge! Not only are these cheap frozen burger patties but my burger is nothing but pink with the very outer layer brown, again the waitress offered to take it back and I declined, I worked in a kitchen before, I know how those things get handled. She stated that the burgers come out like that a lot and she wasn't sure why. I tried to make the best of it but wound up just eating the bacon (at least that was real bacon)! My husbands burger fell apart, the outer cooked layer separated from the uncooked layers. Oh and let's not forget the shoestring fries they serve with the burgers, ummm whaaat? They also have happy hour from 4 to 7, we ordered some drinks and had 2 rounds of drinks, now had we been seated when we got there, all of our drinks would have been during happy hour hours but because we weren't, our second round of drinks were full price! You would think he would of given us all of our drinks at happy hour price at the very least but nope. He asked the front desk receptionist to get our honest opinions before we left and we stated we will NEVER be back there to eat after that experience! We told her all of our complaints and she let him know all of it! I tried to call the general manager Hank 4 times today without making any contact with him! I have gone back and forth on leaving this review but if the manager has been aware of the situation for over 24 hours and has not bothered to make contact or take any of my calls, he made the decision for me! My husband is a chef and has worked in the industry for over 15 years so he knows a thing or 2 when it comes to food and he said he would never in a million years serve such poor quality products especially to...
Read moreI went with one other person, and I will say that the food was very good, I ordered a steak salad ($15) and the person I went out with got a cup of soup ($5), and in both cases, the portions for price were very good. To eat for $25 or less for 2 is difficult to find, but this was such an example. Our waitress was very pleasant, so the three stars for service is nothing against her. I would shift that towards the billing process because I was given one receipt that wasn't relevant, and what I mean is it asked what room we were staying in, as this restaurant was in a hotel we weren't staying at. So then I received the second receipt with more accurate information of the meal. No increase in price, just disorganization and inefficiency in billing. I thought the atmosphere was a bit disorganized as well. You walk into the restaurant, and you seat yourself, and based on the Italian decor and paintings that one would presume that this is a fine dining restaurant, and the food supports that. But the music didn't fit the kind of atmosphere, and it was loud. The tables have black table cloths with cloth napkins rolled over the silverware very nicely, even with oil-burning candles, but the lights are bright. I would come here for the value and service, but the atmosphere needs the most improvement. Find a softer genre of music, and...
Read moreBeautiful little bar/restaurant inside of Chautauqua Suites hotel. Went for thursday wing night and happy hour. The place was busy but the servers were right on top of it. Sat at the bar and received great friendly service from all staff. Wings were killer. Recommend trying the rootbeer bbq and honey mustard. Happy hour specials were remarkably affordable and drinks were good. 40 dollars for 3 people to eat and drink is hard to find in 2024 especially for a sit down restaurant with a great atmosphere with great food. Everything else we saw come out to the other patrons tables looked great too....
