This review is not for the beverages, which are good, rather it is for the service. Not too long ago, I went to the establishment to purchase a product and due to the nature of my establishment I requested procurement protocols that are unique to my company and required by State Law. The person, some bald guy, refused this request and told me in no other terms to get lost. His rude demeanor, was extremely unbecoming of both the region, which welcomes all people as "America's Hometown". Thus I recommend that all visitors avoid this establishment at all costs. Nick, the gentleman tending bar, was a good conversationalist and very knowledgeable about the beers on offer. He pointed out that they have cask beers available. I live in the NY capital district and rarely encounter this option even there, so was pleasantly surprised. I included several on the flight I tried. The brown ale was quite nice. Food is decent, we split a fish and chips which was cooked to absolute perfection even though it was the last dish prepared for the night (just got the order in time). Tarter sauce wasn't that sugar loaded type. The Ruben balls appetizer though decent is missing a key ingredient specifically caraway seeds, it basically tastes like corned beef with Swiss on Wonder bread as a result, id get them again... But adding some ground caraway would do it...
