I've had occasion to pass through the beautiful little village of Cherry Valley, and finally had some extra time to stop in and try Red Shed. I was very glad I did. Nick, the gentleman tending bar, was a good conversationalist and very knowledgeable about the beers on offer. He pointed out that they have cask beers available. I live in the NY capital district and rarely encounter this option even there, so was pleasantly surprised. I included several on the flight I tried. The brown ale was quite nice. As far as non-cask offerings go, I loved their staple Golden Ale. Hoping to check out their original location nearby on a future trip. Red Shed is worth taking a trip off the beaten path.

Nice outlet for a quality local brewery. Fashioned like an English pub, with meat pies and fries on the menu to boot. About 6 beers on tap at all times, with a few cask ales available for the adventurous. Jessica Red is always a good choice. Cask ESB was very decent this time around. Nice thing to have in a little town like Cherry Valley

English pies on the menu are delicious! Great staff. Played darts while we waited which was super fun! Nice find!

This review is not for the beverages, which are good, rather it is for the service. Not too long ago, I went to the establishment to purchase a product and due to the nature of my establishment I requested procurement protocols that are unique to my company and required by State Law. The person, some bald guy, refused this request and told me in no other terms to get lost. His rude demeanor, was extremely unbecoming of both the region, which welcomes all people as "America's Hometown". Thus I recommend that all visitors avoid this establishment at all costs. I personally will actively go out of my way to procure beverages from other vendors that are worthy of representing Cooperstown and Otsego County for both my personal business and...

It's an OK place to go. Food is decent, we split a fish and chips which was cooked to absolute perfection even though it was the last dish prepared for the night (just got the order in time). Tarter sauce wasn't that sugar loaded type. The Ruben balls appetizer though decent is missing a key ingredient specifically caraway seeds, it basically tastes like corned beef with Swiss on Wonder bread as a result, id get them again... But adding some ground caraway would do it...
