We have been to Frozen Ropes for 3 different tournaments. I am completely disappointed with this venue.
We have had issues with everything there from the kitchen breaking down (and they don’t let you bring in outside food), the bathrooms are disgusting, and the umps are not the best (considering what we pay for).
Today we are here and it is 95 degrees outside. There is no AC inside and the floors are sweating and girls keep slipping and falling on the floors in their cleats. It is oppressively hot inside where the teams are expected to warm up.
It rained this morning so there are only the turf fields and there’s nowhere to watch except from up top. The walkway to get up top isn’t paved and people wheeling things up to the top are struggling to get stuff up there. Forget anyone who has trouble walking trying to get up. Tell your older loved ones to not even bother.
There’s no shade to escape the blistering sun except for the dugouts. But there’s also no way to pass cold water to the players who are playing in the back turf fields.
Our bracket today had a 3 HOUR wait time between games. When you have teams traveling from an hour away, it’s not really fair to space the games out so much and then expect the kids to just hang around in a non air conditioned space for 3 hours waiting for their next game after getting there at 7:00 in the morning. Some more thought in the process would be nice.
For a venue that boasts being a “sports park”...
Read moreMy 7-year-old son has been attending Frozen Ropes in Chester, NY, for several months now, and the improvement in his baseball skills has been remarkable! He has had multiple private lessons, and the progress he’s made is truly noticeable. The coaches are incredibly patient and skilled at working with young children, making each lesson both educational and enjoyable.
One of the best parts of our experience has been his participation in one of their travel teams. The team environment has not only helped him develop his skills further but also taught him the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. He looks forward to every practice and game.
Additionally, my son attended their baseball summer camp, which was a fantastic experience. The camp was well-organized, with a perfect balance of skill development and fun activities. He made new friends and came home every day eager to share what he had learned.
The staff at Frozen Ropes are always friendly and supportive, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both children and parents. The facility is top-notch, with excellent equipment and plenty of space for training.
Overall, I highly recommend Frozen Ropes for any young aspiring baseball or softball player. The positive impact it has had on my son’s skills and confidence is invaluable. We are thrilled to be part of the Frozen Ropes community and look forward to many more great...
Read moreThis place is ballistic, this junky place is lucky I don’t sue them right now. In the middle of the finals the umps walk away because there was "a monsoon"! There is "heavy wind and rain" it’s extremely dangerous! Someone could get insanely injured in this weather. Our game stopped while other games were playing. They refused to delay the game in the beginning, but when it starts getting close they end it. The other team also left but they get the first place medals? Give us first place that’s called a forfeit. The one manager is crouched in the outfield as if that’s gonna do anything. It's extremely embarrassing and immature that they let this happen. The least you can do is fire this terrible and lazy umpire because he is to concerned on going home. He was rude and did not care that we fought hard to try and come back. The bathroom smelt like waste, not normal waste but the waste you have when your very sick. Is no one available to clean the bathroom or spray febreeze? Also you have to pay to get in, as if i'm not paying enough to watch my tough hearted kids play. It is such a maze to locate a spot to park. Plus they hand out tickets in you don't park in their tiny parking lot not even big enough to hold one team. I don't...
