Exit 8 Liquors — Local services in Town of Clifton Park

Your manager had a picture sitting directly by Hennessy bottles of a black woman shoplifting. For me, this indicates this unaware small business company, stereotypes and generalizes a group of people... implying that this group is the only group that engages in such activity. When I asked if only that demographic does that crime, the manager couldn’t answer me. When asked what the purpose was of having that picture next to the Hennessey bottle, he indicated his lawyer said it’s OK to do that, he’s good and it’s his shop. If you already realize what is happening here is both explicit and implicit bias this business owner has. If you support doing the right thing want to be treated with respect and believe in accountability, don’t shop here anymore. This place has elements of implicit and explicit bias written all over it. When I spoke with other fellows customers and colleagues that have frequented his establishment have indicated they felt the same energy when you walk in Exit 8 LiquorsandWine. I have been a loyal customer to Exit 8 Liquors for a few years and I can say the staff is extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. I always find what I'm looking for their prices are great and the store is always in stock full and in season for holiday items. Last year I made a request to have them order a wine that they didn't carry brand name was Opici Barebone. They graciously were able to order the wine and carry it in their full line. Great store with a good selection, and reasonable prices. The woman working there was incredibly helpful--I was looking for something a little obscure that wasn't in stock, and she offered to order some if possible. I'll definitely be back; super friendly people and convenient store...you can safely ignore the maskholes' 1-star reviews.
