Depot Deli — Local services in Town of Copake

Horrible service very rude. I ordered a turkey and cheese, bacon egg cheese sandwich and chicken fingers with fries it was 11 a.m. I waited 30 minutes for my food because the fryers weren't hot enough! If they told me to wait for them to get hot enough i would have just ordered another sandwich! cold eggs on this sandwich it was disgusting. It was only 1 egg!! After I arrived back at the campsite I see there was two chicken fingers and a couple of fries when I ordered I asked how many chicken fingers and they told me 3 to 4 so when I got back to the campsite I had two pieces I went back to the store and the lady said I dropped one of the pieces in between the fryer! Soooo why didn't you put another one back in the fryer instead of letting me go home to find out I have two chicken fingers and you charged me $10.50 I'm from Midtown Manhattan and these prices are higher then there she charged me $8.50 for sandwich on a ROLL with three slices of turkey and one slice of cheese for that price I could have got a nice healthy sandwich on a hero. They are rude and disgusting. I would rather just drive out another 20minutes to Walmart and made a 3 course meal for their prices....

My family and I have been camping a Taconic State Park for years. Everytime we go, we make a few stops at this deli for essentials, drinks and dessert. It is incredibly convenient for campers in the park to pick up things they may have forgotten or knew not to pack knowing this deli is here. Have all that you maybe looking for from firewood to tarps. Many fridge cases of an incredible variety of beers. Also has a well optioned deli. During our last stay this past weekend, my kids fell in love with their perfect soft serve twist...had to go back at night for seconds after getting one for lunch. I had "the engineer" sandwich wrap that was amazing...the type of sandwich I was craving an hour after I ate it it was so good. My daughter also fell in love with their fries. She enjoyed them so much she ordered them the next day for breakfast as we were heading back home. The staff were so accommodating that they turned on the frier to make her a batch. I have been coming here for years, cross my fingers it's still there each time I come, and they get better each time with the addition of their special sandwiches...

If I could give zero stars, I would. We didn't even make a purchase because the two girls working were so incredibly rude. Sighing, eye rolling, stomping around (actually stomping), it was absurd.The place was filthy, disorganized and clearly the staff couldn't care less. If the retail area of your cafe is THAT dirty I wouldn't even want to see the shape of the kitchen. Bottom line: don't waste your time or your money. Head 5 minutes south and go to Dad's Diner.
