Corning Community Food Pantry — Local services in Town of Corning

For my only time going, it was a lot more than I expected, when I was there waiting, there were some people complaining about the wait, I think it was worth the wait for how much food they give you, and how fast they are with giving it to you, they gave me so much more food than I was expecting and for that, I'd recommend this for anyone, I wanted to call today (they closed before I could) and just thank them for the help, and apologize to the person at the desk who was dealing with attitude from other people, I feel awful she had to deal with that, she handled it well, and I respect everyone who volunteers there, their work doesn't go in vein, I love what y'all do, and if you guys read this, thank you so much for...

getting a four because of the people that volunteer. they all are very kind but....the food? its insulting to receive out of date bread and half rotten food , if you do not use the food THAT day , it decays so fast! It's absolutely disgusting to bite into pastries or "treats" they give just to immediately spit it out because rotten. Stop going to the local Tops and Wegmans and getting their out of date or expired products to give to us! I know this state has ENOUGH money to actually help people that need it but what do we get? rotten out...

Staff here were of the kindest people. Everyone was so welcoming, understanding, and didn't make you feel uncomfortable whatsoever. The whole process from intake to heading out the door was very streamlined and you were smiling when you left.
