Camp Smith — Local services in Town of Cortlandt

Great little base. I visited here in early 2000s while in the RegilR Army to train ARNG Artillery units, again in 2012-15 to train ROTC, and I continue to visit today as a member of the New York Guard. Great facilities, a visiting quarters to stay in, and lots of historic items and monuments. My only wish would be that they add a small Post Exchange. I think there is enough visitation here to...

Some convoy (3 or 4HMMWVs and a FMTV/LMTV) pulled out of there this morning 241030MAR24 and completely ignored the red light across the bridge under construction. My side had the green light. We had to stop and back up. That was both foolish and dangerous. Whoever was in charge of that operation needs a little ( or a lot) of corrective training. People get hurt when you do stupid...
