Dollar General — Local services in Town of Deerpark

This dollar general may have everything and more that you need, but the customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I will never be going back to this store. The workers here work in retail and part of retail is having good customer service regardless of the situation. I myself am I food and beverage manager so I know a great deal about customer service and treating ever guest with the upmost kindness regardless the situation. I went there to get some balloons to release for my mom who had passed 7 years ago and I got told no we can’t blow these certain kind of balloons up yet when I called 15 minutes prior to arriving at the store I was told yes they can blow up balloons. The workers here need to learn their policies and have better communication when it comes to telling a customer information. This experience has made me never want to return to this store, I rather drive 20 minutes to the next nearest dollar general where there is better customer service, not to mention the store doesn’t look like a...

Went in yesterday, both customers and employees were not wearing masks. I could of sworn I could hear the 1998 hit "hit me baby one more time" by Brittney Spears in the back ground, it was like stepping back in a pre-covid 19 world. No one care about social distancing. It seemed that the employees had there friends there, also not wearing masks. I don't want to wear a mask either, but we have to. Personally I like wearing masks in public. It helps...

I'll change my review to 5 stars if you get a better manager. Chris did a great job. The few times I have seen the new manager, she always is on her phone with her airpods.
