Dryden Dispensary is a top-notch dispensary! I'm a fan of pure, potent sativa strains, so I judge a dispensary according to how many sativa flower varieties are available. Usually there are few to choose from compared to hybrids and Indicas, so if a store has more than three varieties with mid-twenties percentage of thc, I consider that a decent variety. Dryden dispensary has not only been consistent with this mark, but they have offered new, quality products, and recently started carrying my favorite product line: Zizzle. I used to go to the place on the commons in Ithaca specifically for Zizzle's Silver Haze flower. Now I don't have to walk through that sketchy crowd of stoners that basically squat right by the dispensary there, and I don't have to leave Dryden. The customer service at DD is great, and the people there are helpful and friendly, whether you know exactly what you want, or are new to legal cannabis and want some advice on where to start. They have a comprehensive selection of flowers, concentrates, vapes, edibles, as well as a ton of beautiful glass. The last time I was there, I was paying in cash and I came up almost $2 short. The guy who helped me out spotted me the difference! And I was prepared to process it on a card instead! Anyway, Dryden Dispensary is in my opinion absolutely on par with the Ithaca dispensary on the commons, and offers better variety and customer service than the other two in ithaca. I've been to two places in Syracuse, thinking that they might have more products on offer because it's a bigger city, but I was sorely disappointed. The two places I went to in Syracuse had very little product that even qualified for my baseline of "decent." Dryden Dispensary is a badass spot in sleepy Dryden, NY, that blows away the offerings of Syracuse, and is definitely as good as the best spots in Ithaca too. I haven't mentioned pricing, because I observed no noticeable difference in the pricing of the sativa flower products from...
Read moreI've been all over the country and to hundreds of different dispensaries since 2005ish, but I was never treated quite like I was when I walked into this place to ask a simple question. I haven't been back inside New York since this place opened up. In most states, they give me either a tax credit or even a whole other selection of products for being a medical card holder. Not knowing if the tax credit part was in effect yet (I heard New York is working on it), I asked a simple question and was laughed at by two guys like I was a complete moron. I usually have thick skin, but this guy came off as a condescending little douche right off the bat, acting as if I was asking for a handout. I ended up going down the road and overspending there too, but at least New York is finally opened up. I just won't spend my money and will spread the word quickly about this place.
I'm an early graduate of Oaksterdam University and know the business quite well. For context, New York is currently working on Senate Bill 7508 (SB 7508), which would allow cannabis businesses to take standard state tax deductions that were previously disallowed under Section 280E of the Internal Revenue Code. This bill is aimed at providing tax relief to cannabis businesses by allowing them to deduct expenses that are not currently deductible due to federal restrictions (Cannabis Wire) (The Marijuana Herald).
These guys need to stop acting like they know everything about the business because they are one of the only ones opened up so far. With the generic logo, website, and unprofessional behavior at the door, stay clear and go down the road or contact Bing Melts (Cold Cure Melts) or just go to Binghamton altogether.
Update: the last few times I've been here they've had what I wanted. Ithaca,...
Read moreI have been here many times and always had a great experience with the staff and process. There is one issue that I have run into. Product consistency which is not entirely in their control. I have had little to no issue with vapes and carts however in 2 occasions I got flower that looked nothing like the "display" not a huge deal. But today I grabbed 2 different types of florist farms pre-rolls after trying the 1st I found it to be extremely harsh tried the second strain same thing. So I decided to break one open and found what appeared to be mostly leaf and stem with a couple speckles of flower. One pack was 30$ the other 40$ claiming 26% and 44% i highly doubt either was over 15% in reality. I will continue to shop here it's just unfortunate such a wonderful location and staff are at the hands of companies that make false claims and have little to no quality...
