Pioneer Log Village & Museum — Local services in Town of Excelsior

Interesting and enjoyable local pioneer museum. Many log buildings, plus the usual school house and smithy. Two modern pole buildings have been turned into museums housing a wide variety of local artifacts, from Indian tools to the mid-Twentieth Century. I love how many things there are here and the slightly amateur way it's all displayed. I hope nobody comes along and modernises this...

The village is entertaining and educational. The buildings are very interesting and full of unique items. We were here for the weekend rendezvous. The exhibitors were knowledgeable and friendly. Awesome historical place to visit! I took my fourth grade class there and the tour guides we're wonderful and very knowledgeable. We saw several cabins, a library, a store, the black Smith, and even a community herb garden that was replicated. There is also a fairly large museum to go along with...
