Went to Chenango Valley today. Great golf course, I would say a little hard for a beginner just starting their golfing journey but great for anyone that’s shooting regularly under 120, price was very fair, fairways and greens in good condition, make sure you have a solid amount of balls with you, some fairways are narrow off the drives. Bar is awesome too. Pint of yuengling was $4. Hard to find better than that these day. Looks like they had around 4 beers on tap, they also have cans and bottles from what I could see too.
NOTE - If are going to get rental clubs, double check them before you set out, when given them from the guy in the pro shop, I assumed it would have been a full set considering I think I paid around $18 for them but as you can see from the picture, it was far from a full set. Anyone renting a set doesn’t need a 3 iron and a 5,6,7 would have been nice. Busy course so didn’t have time once finished the 1st hole to go back to the pro shop straight away and speak to them about it or get a full set but if you are charging for renting a set of clubs, it should be a full set. Did go into the pro shop before hole 10 and another guy did hook me up then. Other than that. Enjoyed my day, would recommend it to anyone thinking of going and would...
Read moreFor my sister's birthday we decided to get together and play golf. Had just bought brand new irons and was looking foward to it..74$ 18 holes not a problem at all. We had a worker follow us through 12 holes stalking us. I approached him and asked what the problem is calmly. He said he was making sure we were playing in a group of 4 which when I paid I explained this. We went 12 holes with some older gentleman following us in the woods...it was uncomfortable having him brake gas everytime we moved. I didn't pay 74$ for some guy to stalk me and my wife. Great communication at its finest!! Go Traditions or Belden hill..cheaper nicer fairways and greens and you wont be monitored by the employees stalking you and you can enjoy your relaxing day...
Read moreCourse is great per my CV park review. So many animals to see and pause while you're on the course. Great prices for 18 with a cart and it's discounted after 1pm on the weekends. My only real disappointment was with the American grill. It's awesome there are new opportunities for campers, golfers, Uber eats, etc. The price and quality is under contention. Food is hit or miss and it is not cheap. $7 for a hot dog and hand cut chips isn't horrible. But I do miss the days of $2 hot dogs...
