I had been searching for a high quality leather belt, and Melfe’s Shoes in Ilion came to mind. I did not want to purchase anything from a big box store, as I would much rather shop at a locally owned small business.

At first, they were unable to meet the specifications of what I was looking to purchase, but upon further inspection, Steve Grabski, the owner, found the perfect color of leather I was looking for. He even took the time to give me a call back after he came across my desirable color of leather, to make sure I was taken care of! Upon arrival, Steve had an assortment of belts with different buckles for me to choose from and try on. He was well prepared, and even explained the process of how he makes these hand crafted belts. I purchased a light brown vegetable tanned bull hide leather belt, with a solid brass buckle. It fits perfectly.

I went here looking for a pair of boots after ankle surgery. I had previously looked at some bigger box stores with no luck. The experience here was great the moment I walked through the door until I walked out in a new pair of boots. Finding a pair had been very difficult do to my left foot being so swollen and not having much movement in my ankle do to the surgery from months ago.
