My mother stayed in this facility for 2 years. The last year of her life I was unable to visit due to covid. Im not sure of the treatment she recieved. She had Alzhiemers. Comunication was not really an option. The last week of her life was spent in their hospice wing. The nurses on this floor were wonderfully kind and caring. Alexis and Juliana were the nicest people anyone could ask for. They let us come and visit my mother as long as we felt we needed. They were everything you would expect and want caring for your loved one. However, there were a couple of employees who have no business in this field of work. Because of them, I was not able to be with my mother in her last hours of life. The day before my mother passed away, An employee named Maryanne would not let us back in after we stepped out to grab a bite to eat. She said we had overstayed our welcome that day and would have to return the next day! I explained how my mother was expected to pass that evening, but she jyst said "I dont have to take this!" and called security! The next morning a sour nurse by the name of Patricia told us we had 1 hour for the entire day! She then demanded suddenly that we take a covid test and suit up in a platic gown, gloves and masks. By the Time the test came back and we went to see my mother it was 8:50 At 9:30 she came in and told us to leave our time was up! I cried to my husband to give me a final minute with my mother. Patricia stood guard outside the door! And said" You've had enough time. Time to leave! Take off your gown do theres no cross contamination"! I said " we are NEGATIVE!. To which she replied" Excuse me?!" Do yourselves a favor and your loved ones. Don't but them in this place unless you want your heart ripped out! Because that's exactly what...
Read moreMy husband John and I have experienced several rehab facilities over the years. Some so-so, some very bad. John came to Glendale for rehab in early April 2025. What a wonderful place! John and I are very impressed. His private room is very spacious with three large picture windows looking out to lovely fields and woods. It's immaculately clean. All the staff are wonderful, especially OTs and PTs. They have given John many hours of therapy with great compassion, kindness, and professionalism. He is in a lot of pain. The aides and nurses are so caring and kind to him.
In his younger years, he had a band which played at Glendale often. We love that there is entertainment in the Multi-Purpose Room about twice a week, including everything from folk bands, DJs, and even an Elvis impersonator! Last week, an ice cream social was held outside with a singer and Mr. Ding-a-Ling giving out ice cream. This type of thing helps relieve boredom which can happen easily when confined to a bedroom.
Also, once a week religious services are given. As devout Catholics, we appreciate mass and communion each Tuesday. The Director Todd visits every resident to make sure they are happy and asks if there is anything he could do to help them. We never saw this before in other facilities. John says the food is wonderful. I wish I could eat there every day. A menu is given a month in advance so you can select all of your meals. On Thursdays, pizza is delivered by a local pizzeria.
Every place is spotless. If you have any concerns, they are addressed immediately. So I thank everyone who works at Glendale Home. You make my life and my husband's live very much better. Thank you.

Read moreLoved the staff. Even though they are terribly understaffed they do the best they can. There was only 1 staff member with a bad attitude. The food is horrible and totally disgusting and disrespectful to residents. I wish I could give more stars, but my experience as a rehab patient was not the best. The Dr. in charge did not follow any of my surgeon's instructions. He went so far as to order all my meds, including my regular daily meds, which I did not need refilled, from the wrong pharmacy and ordered PT upon my release. 4 sessions of post op PT has been wasted. Im not even supposed to start PT for another 3 weeks. He also ordered a month's worth of blood thinner which cost me over $200.00 and I wasn't supposed to be taking it. I can't get a refund. I am a senior on a fixed income and $200.00 is a lot of money to me. Thankfully, my surgeon is back in charge. I love the staff and cleanliness of the facility, but I will never go back to Glendale or...
