Orange County Social Services — Local services in Town of Goshen

A woman who is offended by life is sitting on the phone. I called and waited for 8 minutes, I tell her my social security number, she says "there is nothing on this number, find your social security number and call back" and hangs up, even though I had more than one question. I called back immediately, but I already waited 16 minutes, I wanted to ask about my girlfriend, since she does not speak English, and this offended lady "do you have children together?" -no "well then I won't tell you anything" and hangs up. it’s some kind of circus, because she's having a bad day(s) she's ruining my day because I have to ask for the day off from work to come and talk to normal people in person about an issue that can be resolved over the phone in 5 minutes. I call for the third time to find out at least the name of my hero, but a normal person answered, who explained to me that I need to call for the another extension. I called back for the second extension and our issues were resolved....

Needs more resources, help. The lines there you can wait a very long time on a busy day. Certain things have gotten worse. Now don't even tell U ur case manager unless bother them n getting the help you truly need is so hard feels impossible. Can't tell me if they got paperwork that was faxed bc need date&time which never needed b4. It's handicapped accessible w a push button open door and has a bathroom. Parking is always hard but there is handicapped parking. Waiting room no place for a wheelchair and counter is not at an accessible height if you are in a scooter or wheelchair. Heap window is even higher up! Must go through metal detector. I don't know how they would do that for someone who can't get out of wheelchair unless let person go around side that has none. Bathroom not the most handicapped friendly but is made for all. They place needs help n the new people at desk just telling U to call the help number when ur at DSS is an insult...

This goes out to the Lovely CPS office and staff who accused me after called you about my now 14 son still Not going to middle school and Smoking weed....And I was found guilty of Head butting my 220 pound child who's Now sending me letters for my 14 son needs to be in Special Ed and last failed for Not Attending Washingtonville High school and Is the Same thos year....unbelievable period....THE FREAKING SYSTEM IS SOOOO...BROKEN AND SCREWED UP!!! SO I'M WRITING THIS TONIGHT BECAUSE I WILL WILL VENT THIS AND MAYBE MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN A CHILD LIDE SINCE U RUINED...
