I cannot recommend SVS Atelier highly enough. Svetlana has been my saving grace for three weddings now, including my own. Last year, she altered my dress for my sister's wedding, which was a bit too large. This spring she adjusted a skirt I was told by a vendor would be fit to my measurements and came in the wrong size, but couldn't be returned and she did an incredible job taking a sequined and delicate fabric apart to size it correctly. But the true testament to her skill was when she tailored my wedding dress to fit me again in my first visit to SVS Atelier.

I bought my wedding dress in 2019 and when I gained weight during lockdown and it no longer fit, other alterations specialists told me that there was nothing that could be done and that I had outsized the dress. Svetlana rose to the challenge. Despite being mostly lace and being unable to cut from the bottom because I was already nearing max height for the dress, she made it fit again with no noticeable difference in the lace pattern, even in the side panel she added. I am so happy to have found SVS! I’ve been searching for a new seamstress since before Covid and have had some very bad experiences in between. My daughter was getting married and I didn’t find a dress I was happy with until 6 weeks beforehand! I was so nervous about it and stressed. Svetlana was amazing! She put me at ease and was wonderful to talk with! She did all alterations in 2 weeks - No 2nd fitting! I needed it shortened at the bottom, straps & a little cleavage coverage, which my daughter didn’t notice was done & she was with me when I bought the dress. I can’t thank Svetlana for all the work she’s done to my dress. My dress was about 4 sizes larger than me so Svetlana needed to take in a lot and since I’m pretty short she needed to hem a lot on the bottom. My dress had a lot of lace and layers. But she is the best and she over exceeded my expectations. Not only was everything seamless, she added invisible buttons and loops to make sure everything stayed in place all day. She was more than happy to do see me more than 3 times just to ensure everything was perfect and I felt confident and comfortable to wear my dress on my wedding day.
